From Micros to Millions: 2% per day

I used to have respect for Davey (his book is an easy to read introduction to many concepts in algo development). A while ago I signed up on his mailing list... which has turned out super sales:y. I assume he made money at least in the past but he spends an awful amount of effort marketing...

DoJ Finally Files Sweeping Antitrust Lawsuit Against Google

Yepp, this is the problem so far. Other search engines simply aren't as good as of 2020. Instantly getting a relevant search result is a massive time saver.

Are There ways to know which stocks the price can drop below Zero ?

I assume that's some kind of back adjustment method (possibly buggy) to make the price comparable to the current price. Would assume it never actually traded below zero.

Citadel Securities sues SEC over approval of new stock-order type

+1 Basically wrote this but didn't hit post button. Citadel & friends should put more effort into explaining exactly why this is not just about keeping their oligopoly intact.

Call buying is driving volatility and a gamma squeeze

Because many of the entities selling these options need to hedge by taking positions in the underlying => market impact. Now, whether it's significant enough can be debated. Lately the argument has been that Softbank + Robinhood yoloers have enough weight to meaningfully move single names around...

From Micros to Millions: 2% per day

So my immediate thought is, what's your edge? (Not inquiring about specifics, just curious about which category.) Other posters have already adequately covered the incredulity the comes with the claims outlined in OP and I would just be rehashing by pointing out that I'm incredibly skeptical...

    My Withdraw Is Rejected (IBKR)

Not an expert but that is pretty much anti-money laundering 101 on their end, so yes.

    Add the losers

Adding to winners works way better in discretionary trading unless you're a _very_ disciplined and meticulous person who also have properly researched what you're doing. Would only add to losers in thoroughly backtested automated trading (and with martingale aspects properly accounted for).

Programming a price action trading BOT

On topic: The way I tend to logically organize the purposes of a bot/trading program/automated strategy/whatever. Alpha/edge Everything else Alpha is incredibly difficult to come by since it does not readily hide in magic price patterns in such quantities most trading communities would have...

    Cheapest data stream

One exchange about $500/month all exchanges $1500/month. Your prices may vary (just mail them and ask).

    Cheapest data stream

You're probably going to have to be more specific. Like EOD or tick data (to mention two example extremes).

Goodbye Middle Class: Half Of All American Workers Made Less Than $34,248.45 Last Year

80s was definitely the best for movies. Best decade for video games still TBD.

Which strategy of forex is the best and fully safe?

If you're looking for 'safe' trading is the wrong business for you.

Amazon Wants to ‘Win at Games.’ So Why Hasn’t It?

It's hard even for experienced game developers to repeat past successes. Quantifying the magic of what makes a game good is incredibly difficult (and I don't mean explaining it in general terms such as "having an addicting quality to it"). Finding someone who wants to play the game s/he's been...

Another day trader bites the dust

Just to frame again, 54 trades in total doesn't make someone an experienced trader. Even if these trades were carried out over six years it's unlikely to come from a mind that sufficiently has had to deal with a string of losing trades. A more accurate description would be "newbie trader w/o...

What leverage should be good for a newbie to use?

Agreed. It does help to keep in mind plentiful leverage on large sums of money can f*k you up bad, though. Although, as I understand it personal bankruptcy law in the US is comparatively lenient, quickly allowing a fresh restart.

What leverage should be good for a newbie to use?

The risk is you do well for a while, and grow your account from say $100 to $10k, then hit a tail event and end up in the negative. As long as you realize the absolute sums at stake and reduce leverage accordingly, it's fine though. Most likely that $100 lottery money will be gone before any of...

What leverage should be good for a newbie to use?

Risk 1% of account per trade. The stop loss determines what leverage you will want on the trade. Nonetheless, please cap the used leverage to a maximum you're comfortable with. Stop losses can be gapped through during extreme events and leverages above 10x can have very ugly consequences. To be...

    Looking for an Edge !

You forgot to mention it needs to return 20% per day minimum. Jokes aside, don't think you will get many responses. Let me just give some quick thoughts: These statements confused me. You might mean that you want the edge to depend on price only? Do you mean you are only going to be forward...
