Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

China back. I find their market presence annoying.

Why does anyone take technical analysis seriously?

Most traders lose money due to money management, discipline, and psych issues rather than TA or FA.

    Current Forecasts - ET Extremists

I haven't the slightest why you're so incredibly optimistic given the shit-ton of underlying economic issues out there. You do realize grow and recede is also a normal cycle, right?

IB TWS - Complex (Multi-Leg) Positions Setting Disappointment

Yeah I also have open bugs for complex position stuff (how the new TWS displays them) and one other major thing (like the fact that I cannot use a stop loss on ICE IPE inter-commodity spreads) and they just ignore it (or sometimes acknowledge it and then ignore it). If the customer is going out...

Any long term strugglers out there?

Everything is about volume, levels, context, and probability. He has an edge in that he knows how to read the tape and work that into the current and higher context.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

i think you guys are too early to be shorting. It's going to consolidate; what purpose would there be to trap a small amount of bulls up here and then slam it down? They need more. Prediction update:

    Energy Ideas Thread

Booted out of my gasoil spread for -2 loss on a 5 lot. Done with that one. CL mar/jan back to breakeven as of now.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Might also be a good time to start thinking about getting short DX and long certain commodities. When it comes to equities I'm sure there's quite the circus on it's way with many "surprise" black swans in store.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

1990-2000 is definitely going to be a supply zone... if it rips up to 2020-2030 I'll be surprised. It's definitely possible, but my perception is that this is the beginning of trap the bulls. I also expect a bunch of chop/consolidation and annoying trading up here.

Updated Version: Pictures of Your Trading Stations

Haha guys, I am completely anti status-symbol/drive a BMW to feel special, or any of that shit. In fact, I absolutely agree buying a Mac just to run a Windows VM on it would be ridiculous. I'm not recommending that. I'm recommending that for people who want a dual purpose machine (email...

Updated Version: Pictures of Your Trading Stations

Definitely. Basically any modern piece of hardware will handle almost any competent trading platform. A solid setup IMO, rather than a mini+ext display is the 27" imac retina as the former is more powerful, but the mini should work fine. Alternatively you could just run a windows box for your...

Updated Version: Pictures of Your Trading Stations

20-30+ charts in 8 or so chartbooks (SierraChart) on a Macbook Pro 15" laptop using VMware fusion an a 4 vCPU VM w/ 4G of RAM allocated to it. Totally tradable so you must be running some hog-heavy platform if you're having issues with it.

Any long term strugglers out there?

You don't need to be copying his trades you need to be picking his brain on *why* he took those trades. Right now you're compelled by the potential monetary gain from the trades when you should be compelled by the potential intellectual and strategic gain from the trades. Forget about the money.

Any long term strugglers out there?

Gotta learn to trade on your own man. Apeing someone else won't teach you anything.

HFTS, how can humans compete with these crazy computers?

This is lack of liquidity around news events combined with heavy buy/sell reactions immediately post-news.

    SpreadProfessor Clients - Thanks !

Not just applicable to spreads but all trading. Only choose good setups. If you commit to so-so plays then keep it small or preferably don't enter at all.

How would you bid for the FIZZ April $30 Calls? They will not fill!

If you have the margin available its not impossible to get out without paying the spread. Go short and let them get assigned - provided you can get short at all (hopefully not hard to borrow, otherwise you'll have to risk a weekend gap on exp)

How would you bid for the FIZZ April $30 Calls? They will not fill!

Sounds like they're mostly intrinsic value by now. You might be able to short and then let them go to expiration.

    Interesting website

Yep, sorry I was thinking EUREX which is 0800 Frankfurt time. FTSE100/Z futures also open then as well but things don't pick up until London open. Come to think of it there might be a small window of time during DST switchover where Germany is offset from London but it shouldn't last more than...
