Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

That last ramp felt PPTish. Kinda out of place, technically, but then again it's not like ES follows any real technicals anymore.

VIX ETFs performance on 8/25 (XIV, SVXY, VXX, ETC)

However that "simplicity" is why they do not even understand the products in the first place. Futures also give you flexibility in coming up with whatever bets on term structure you want - whereas the ETFs have fixed (and somewhat opaque) balances. It costs like 2$ to trade a VX contract, not...

VIX ETFs performance on 8/25 (XIV, SVXY, VXX, ETC)

Avoid ETFs - trade the futures directly.

Anyone watching the psychological train wreck at BMT?

Just put surf on ignore and the TA bickering becomes less of an issue IMO.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Looks like we might have another cycle of this endless fucking march upwards before we see any downside. Some Asian indexes are signally down though IMO (Australian SPI). Some European indexes look like they want to make another leg up (FTSE). The uncharted territory various central banks have...

Market's seem quite "slow" these days - or maybe I haven't been paying much attention (which is true).

    Chinese definition of trading manipulation

Typical China control freak stuff. They don't understand free markets or free choice.

You can remove some of this systematic risk with spreads BTW. Of course, you're then trading on another derivative, but it's the one many pros trade off of.

    Any Heikin Ashi daytraders?

Its just smoothed data. You're better off with constant volume bars IMO - but it requires reorienting your thinking.

    [2015] Futures P&L

Profits profit - but what's up with all the trades? :-)

Made minor money on WTI, lost minor money on ES. I see oil going down to low 46s, pop to high 47s, then down, down, down.

Markets are all about gathering and analysing information - and that is not efficient

That article is ridiculous and totally dependent on statistical analysis and nothing else. "The study also estimated that the cost of these deaths to the economy was about $450 million, an amount that would increase to $910 million if there was no recall of the offending vehicles." Really, so...

Most affordable volume profile charting package for stocks/futures?

I'm sure IRT is more extensive with MD specifics but SC does volume profiles and footprints charts just fine. Multiday, all bars, whatever. Use the SC realtime data plans for the exchanges you need - its the actual exchange data costs just passed on but with historical tick data. Fairly good...

I don't like this quiet - combined with the fact that Asian markets are mostly doing the moving and they don't look too bullish. Granted, they probably are still reacting to FOMC.
