Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Yep. The CBs have been allowed to go so far off the deep end that they're basically pot committed at this point. It's like a giant ponzi scheme where they'll do whatever is necessary to avoid a collapse (which is inevitable).

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Closed out the Brent trade last night for around +120, closed out the ES short at 1910 for around +110. Went short 6J and GC during the open of the German session, expecting to see a sell-off with some kind of equity rally, instead London took me out. Bipolar market IMO... flips on a dime and...

Short ICE Brent from 34.09. Short ES from 1937.25.

    BS info in OIC FAQ

I believe in pragmatic land we call that "price." Seeing as price has different components to it (vega, theta) that add premium in addition to the INTRINSIC value then premium makes sense to a lot of people as EXTRINSIC. This is even more significant ITM or ATM.

    BS info in OIC FAQ

Pretty sure most with a clue have always associated premium with extrinsic value. Cmon guys.

    BS info in OIC FAQ

I don't think the exact figures are what matter here. They're making a point about premium and heavily ITM delta 1 options.

Gotta get everyone bulltarded out on a run up to 2000 where the rug gets pulled again.

Interactive Brokers Secure Login: mobile app or card?

Plastic card with numbers here. Never used the electronic ones and the card is enough of an annoyance already.

MCD is in big trouble. May not exist in 5 years

http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/11/foodanddrink/hong-kong-mcdonalds-next/ Also some similar type stuff in Australia last I heard. I mean heck, why bother with the "nice" stuff in the US when the growing middle class is in Asia?

    Collaterizing 'in the money' options

Seems like even if you could do what the OP is asking it'd be a sketchy idea in the first place. Anyway how about FOPs and mark to market? Does that fit into this?

Would Bernie Sanders Kill Trading As We Know It?

Btw guys if you think that HFTs and the like are going to somehow be victim to this I seriously doubt it. They'll bury exemptions for MMs of which all HFT firms will immediately change to (if they're not already).

He said he owes that much - meaning in deficit of, not total.

any broker with no pattern day trading rules

US citizens can't trade CFDs and all Americans are prone to PDT if they have a margin account and trade equities. For this matter (and quite a few others) most people trade futures. At 1000$ you're undercapitalized in general. Paper trade.

    AUD\JPY

IMO everything about this pair right now is JPY related. Pick any JPY cross and you're just about trading the same thing. Also I don't really see the triangle you're referring to.

Fairly new to trading -SPX Options question !

If you're going to use ES as a hedge you should be trading ES options not SPX options. The margin differences between the two product classes are reason enough. Additionally seeing as how ES is becoming more of a 24 hour market over the last couple of years it behooves you to have the ability to...

    Ag trade ideas

Maybe so but just reporting what I saw, and what I saw was unseasonable dryness. Think of things like the softs and also how the weather patterns might be mirrored/disrupted in central/South Americas as well. Not really US specific.

    The FANGs are getting crushed

Yeah this is hardly a panic. Selling needs to get much more aggressive. IMO these days any signs of a panic will bring swift action from TPTB to try and stop trading or otherwise prevent a massive selloff from continuing. Let's talk about "panic" when we see 100-200 point swings in one day.

    ICE Futures Europe (IPE) EUA

BTW: Did anyone ever figure out from IB what exactly the issue is/was here? I see no reason to discontinue trading on this contract.

    Ag trade ideas

Just came back from SE Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia) where I was present for nearly 2 months. The normal "wet season" was anything but that - quite dry with only a few scattered days of heavy rain. Normally around Dec/Jan/Feb one is seeing semi-daily afternoon rain, but there were literally...
