    Options Strategies using Order Flow

1245 just gave you an example of how it can be relatively meaningless. It can be someone buying protection for an event that simply never happens, it can be someone replicating an opposite position via synthetics (-S + C = P), heck without which side was the aggressor it's even more meaningless...

    Options Strategies using Order Flow

No edge IMO. Not only is it hit and miss but the use of synthetics can entirely throw the thing off.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Not always, sometimes shit just happens (like August). Quite a few things near technical edges/reversal areas, etc right now - but we shall see. Sure would be a "bummer" if Draghi didn't deliver enough.

Karen the Supertrader - TastyTrade Hybrid Experiment

Why can't you do this? You should totally be able to submit an order to do that.

Been asked to move to another FCM

IMO they told him to move his account because he was a spreader and they don't want spreaders - they want churners. Remember, FCMs aren't providing these services for free, they'd prefer you trade and trade often.

Karen the Supertrader - TastyTrade Hybrid Experiment

What's going on in Turkey right now right near the Friday close is a great example of the hidden risk these types of strategies are exposed to.

Trying to transition from full time job to trading. Having trouble with discipline.

Trading is trading, whether you're doing it on the tick chart, daily, or weekly. He wants to do the cowboy thing and get into the casino when he should be pulling back and swing trading while he figures out all the psych issues.

Trying to transition from full time job to trading. Having trouble with discipline.

Leaving your job to embark on this "trading thing" without any idea of how to consistently make money is a completely stupid idea. IMO, you're playing out some kind of dysfunction here and the markets are only a vehicle for it.

Age of information doesn't necessarily diminish value of information. There's tons of old threads on ET that are incredibly valuable.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Got hit on my last n225 long this morning. Still have an SPI long from 5269. My only exposure to US stuff is a long ES/NQ spread which is taking heat.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Been long N225 minis since Thursday, no bullshit. Just have 1 lot left. Unfortunately had to take some off during the whole Dallas fiasco as it felt like it was bleeding into the markets.

Been asked to move to another FCM

Seems quite strange to me given that he's trading STIR spreads which aren't high risk at all.

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

The above isn't true. What is true is that you had a losing trade and simply need to move on to the next one.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Atleast in '99 one knew they were trading against ridiculous euphoria that was reflected in the price/sentiment - but these days it's just pure CB fuckjobs left and right. They're scared to death to let this thing go down because of just how much is riding on it so they'll just keep doubling...

    Straddles, are they ever profitable?

Come on man, everyone knows the delta is per-future specific. It's the general idea that matters, not the exact specifics of the deltas. Stocks were obviously used as the example because the multiplier is easy and accessible for everyone to understand.

How to scale/what to do next?

One of the reasons people made a fair bit of coin during the Brexit debacle is because the majority of the bots were switched off and the market was allowed to trade in a way that most people would classify as "old school" trading. No significant continual back-filling or other bullshit, just a...

Which is more significant? Trend line or support/resistance

TLs are merely indirect results from what price does at significant levels (aka support/resistance).
