Why not the best of 2 worlds. Pure price action can displayed if tick or volume charts are used. Putting indicator on such chart will make it more relevant (intra day trading only). Using fixed time fractals makes indicator noisier. Fixed time fractals should only be used if specific strategy...

That is correct. Volume and tick charts reduce noise, so a lot of idicators show clearer picture, that is if you use them.

It all depends on the market. I use 144 volume on DAX. Your tick or volume chars will depend on your style. I hold postions for few minutes usually. Sometimes it could be 30-60 minutes, but that's rare.

You can also use tick and volume charts. I personally use volume charts.
