    Insider Trading on the Rampage

From what I heave heard, most of these trades are not reported, and yet there is nothing illegal about them based on current rules. But I have not seen this with my own eyes, so could be wrong.

    14 year old fund manager

I'll just repeat what was said. Never confuse brains with bull market. Too many people overlook this simple truth. If he gets back into the games after he blows up his new 30K fund, he has a chance.

    Insider Trading on the Rampage

Do not reply on prints too much for stock trading. Big transactions are not showing up there. Institutions are allowed to trade large chunks between each other, and these trades will never show up on tape.

    Best Platform????????

NinjaTrader 6 is one of the best and simplest front ends to use. It pretty much has API for all majotr feeds (TT, zenfire, PATS). It can also be used as IB front end.

RenTec's Jim Simons on "From Quant to Riches"

I do not think developers see full picture, otherwise what you mentioned would have happened. More likely they only see code pieces, and then 1 or 2 most trusted, probably partners put them together. The sever security must be nuts in this place.

    Sub-Prime Reality

A lot of documents were not forged. What was done however is omitting certain questions. Such an important question as household income was left blank. Imagine 20 years ago going to a bank for a home loan, and saying by the way I do not want to state my income. By omitting an income a buyer...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

Hi Jack, Thanks for your post. As always interesting and a lot to digest. As far the Lexus total price within morning session, I know that it is totally possible. Even with my current small Hang Seng trading size, I can easily afford monthly payment within one morning session. It does take a...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

I agree with your points guys, but thousands will try out of which hundreds will succeed. I have seen Jack posting on other threads that he demonstrated his method to MERC locals and blew them away. There is a big interest in this method, and once it is perfected, it is a matter of being...

But we all see an FTT, BO or FBO approximately at the same time on 5 min ES chart. The wall will be eaten at the same time for all of us, so the best potential entry will not be there for everybody. Of course there are other markets, but we are all taking about ES here, and my question is in...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

I am following this thread with great interest. It is THE BEST thread on ET by far and will stay this way for while. The method is detailed and discussed so good that it will draw a lot of people over the years. I was thinking this weekend about self fulfilling prophecy of when too many...

Bear Stearns Plans $3.2 Billion Fund Rescue to Halt Fire Sale

I read this article over the weekend, very interesting. This has been know for a while though. Try to read some parers by Frank Portnoy (authour of FIASCO). He used to work for Morgan Stanley, and has been warning about CDOs risks for a while.

Bear Stearns Plans $3.2 Billion Fund Rescue to Halt Fire Sale

CDOs are so complicated that a lot of people that hold them, do not even know what they are worth. Imagine it for a second, you have a huge porfolio and have no clue what it is worth. I guess those higher yield paying trenches are risky after all. Interesting times are ahead.

Bear Stearns Plans $3.2 Billion Fund Rescue to Halt Fire Sale

If this thing blows up, it is the investors in hedge funds that will be left holding the bag. The HF managers did what they should have, they filled their own pockets with ridiculous fees on highly leveraged illiquid bets. And then they will start all over again when this mess clears up. THIS...

Bear Stearns Plans $3.2 Billion Fund Rescue to Halt Fire Sale

There has to be a bail out, otherwise a lot of big CDO boys would need to reprice theirs assets and this will open flood gates that had not been seen for a while and everybody is scared do death if this happens. Chase decided not to sell his collateral because they could not get the price that...

Apparently Insider Trading can be done without being legally challenged

I just read this article. It clearly shows how big boys make their money. Secrets to Keep: Insider Trading Hits Golden Age The buyout of credit-card processor First Data Corp. started with a single conversation in December. By the time the deal was announced on April 2, the $25.6 billion...

I just read that ICE got EXCLUSIVE right to list Russell. I missed this point originally. How did CME let it happen, I wonder? I also read that CME will launch S&P small cap future to offset lost business in Russell. CME will list Russell through Sept, 2008.
