Millionaire Traders - Market Maker or Market Taker?

I remember seeing an e-mail from FXCM about Kathy and Boris doing this book. I think I will get it. Who knows may be something interesting will turn out.

    CCI & Eminis

CCI is the only indicator that I use. However, I use it differently from Woodie. I use it in conjunction with price, and the key is to use it on volume charts. Cci is a momentum indicator and constant volume bars represent pure momentum. Check out madscalper.com. Paul has a lot of great posts...

    The Bush Housing Bailout

So it does come to some kind of bail out. I remeber we had this discussion a while back on one of the threads. It just sickesn me to think about any bail out. Why should we, the tax payers, bail out stupid idiots who overleveraged themselves by buying the house they can not afford. But...

Anyone heard when 2md one comes out, at least preliminary date?

Best Broker For Intraday Index Futures Trading???

I have only seen it in conjunction with Ninja. By the way, I learned something new about zen-fire. Apparently zen-fire Eurex feed has a major flow. Every single trade that comes through has a volume of 99 contracts. So if you use volume or Times@ Sales, it becomes pretty useless. If you do...

    Why DOM is Deceiving

Nope, we are on the same page. I misread your post. As far as fills go, it does not concern my style of trading, since I get in with market order. For me being filled is more important htan saving 1 tick on bid/ask spread.

    Why DOM is Deceiving

Not following you here. All orders at the ASK are shown, whether it is Goldman or 1 lot trader. If a trader have put limit/stop, it will show up there.

    Why DOM is Deceiving

Dom can be used to ones advantage. This is one of the ways I use it. If I get a long signal and there is a wall (large size) on the ask, I will not go long unless the wall is penetrated. However, if I get a short signal, and there is a wall on the ask, I will take it, since the wall will act as...

    Why DOM is Deceiving

Paul, If you think that getting to know yourself is more important than probability of trades, and to think otherwise is for novices, then so be it. My experience tells me otherwise. Douglas’s book is very important, no doubt, but the trader will only fully get his staff after being in the...

    Why DOM is Deceiving

Nicely said. However, none of this will help if a trader does not have an edge. Discipline is important, but not the most important factor, otherwise casinos would not exist. No discipline or money management will help you to win in roulette on the long run, the house simply has the edge...

Beyond the hype of hershey futures method journal

Could very well be, sicne a lot of FFTs, BOs and FBOs correspond to my entries. However, I still can not grasp the way to be in the market all day long. Continuation and change totally make sense to me when market is moving, but when in chop I can not use it.

Beyond the hype of hershey futures method journal

I actually use it the way Spyder explained. I use the wall as confirmation of the direction (signal). For example, if I get a long signal and there is a wall on the ask, I will not go long unless the wall is penetrated. However, if I get a short signal, and there is a wall on the ask, I will...

    DAX Liquidity

I live in New York and trade DAX. The wake up call is at 2:30am, I mostly trade it 3am-6am , sometimes to 7am when there is action. Schedule wise, the best off hours markets for east coast are Asian markets, and I was trading Heng Sang for a while, but it is a bit too thin, and with recent...

Beyond the hype of hershey futures method journal

Hi Jack, I am not sure if you have done it before, but maybe we can set up one day, it can be any day you wish, where you would trade live. It will be recorded through screen capture and then would be posted on this forum. This will end of these 1000s of posts that the method does not work...

Beyond the hype of hershey futures method journal

Hi RoughTrader, I do not use SCT, but I do use some of the tools (DOM and tape) with great success. Learning this method will make you think about a lot of ways to improve what you are currently doing. I am not sure which technology you will use to code it, but I can highly recommend...

    Day Trading don't work

You need to discipline yourself and act on sim and real the same, no exception, especially to such distractions as phone and others.

    Day Trading don't work

What exactly is the difference that you saw? Since you trade liquid futures such as ES and ER, starting trading with 1 contract would give you exactly the same execution as the real thing. I have done it myself, and saw no difference in execution. The difference that I found was purely...

    Day Trading don't work

Hi LonelyTrader, One of the biggest mistake you can make in the beginning is trade with real $ without perfecting your method on simulator. Yes, similator is play money and psycologically trading real $ is different. But if you can not make $ on simulator, no way you will make $ on real...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

I use DOM tool as Spyder described it here, though trade a differentl method. Yesterday was a difficult day, too much chop. However using DOM where price bounces off wall, helped me tremendously. I rarely look at ES market, and it felt very good to be able to recognize some of turning points.

    class action against FXCM

I made a lot of posts explaining exactly what reatail forex industry is. But I guess not too many people want to user search button before investing into forex mm. FXCM does what they say in their contract. Interpration is the key though.
