ex NYSE specialist starts hedge fund

..The fund charges a 25% management fee and a 20% incentive fee... I hope this is a typo, otherwise they will need to net 25% just to show 0 return to their investors.

Smith Barney FA Math Test and Opportunity

Guys, You have been around trading professionals for several years, why did you not learn enough to trade your own money? This seems like a logical next step after you took those positions. redduke

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

That's right. You already can do it for DOM, but Ninja does not support it officially yet. Check, the first post on this thread for reference sample: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1685 redduke

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

Thanks for helping with title change. I do think it will make more people to look into its content. Yep, NT works great. They will soon release 6.5 where they will officially support programming access to DOM and T&S. I rely on these 2 to make a trading decision once I see a signal on the...

Smith Barney FA Math Test and Opportunity

Ben, The best way to get into IT world is to find a school in your area, something that focuses on getting you the job at the end, and take a crush course there. It probably will be something that runs during evenings and weekends, where developers who have day jobs teach at night. You need...

If your main goal is 100K+ income, it would be much easier to acheive it inprogramming than cold calling. Any decent (not great) java or c developer can get 100K.

    Best Live TRADING ROOM?

I do understand it. For example, if you buy a system, it must have been tested with some preset parameters, such as certain chart type (1 min, 3 min and so on). By using your own, you will introduce a new variable(s). Let’s say that the systems stops are calculated using 1 min bars, but...

    Best Live TRADING ROOM?

Absolutely, that is why I always wonder why people buy into such systems. If too many poople will fight for a trade at one time the results will be bad.

    DAX plunged +200 ticks

Most of the platform these days have a save guard of max volume allowed. So even if you try to send an order with 100 contracts, but max is set to 10, it will be rejected. In today’s world, fat finger is not excusable.

    Best Live TRADING ROOM?

I was actually talking about market orders. Based on the dom, in the attachments, filling around 5 should be no problem.

    Best Live TRADING ROOM?

Hi Austinp, I am a bit surprised about how thin Russell is. I trade DAX which resambles Russel a lot (volume, range), and have 1-2 tick slipage not too often if trading around 3-5 contracts (I only trade during active no news time). I looked at russel volume and dom few times and it looked...

    Best Live TRADING ROOM?

Dude, you just opened yourself to wave of insults. This is your first post and you advising a room whose owners were caught in lying to its clients. There was a big stink about them having Franz Sohar claiming to make around 100K per day trading ES, and as it turned out he was on simulator.

DOM ACV and bid/ask WALL used tgether

Hi Grant, Your example of 1:5 ratio on bobl is the beauty of this thread analysis. Should the wall be penetrated in such high ratio, the likelihood of such move is that the price will continue to move in this direction. The situation that I described above from this morning is the opposite of...
