    Mathematically Predicting the Future?

"next bar, only" is very general. If you put up yearly chart, the next bar will be the whole year. I personally trade short term intra day, and many times can guess what direction of the next bar will be when certain set ups take place. If I am wrong, I immediattly close the position and wait...

    Recorded Dax Trade

I see what you do. I do have software for this - HyperCam 2. I rarely record screen sessions. It would be cool though to have ability to replay market data with charts, T&S and DOM from downloaded data, but such software does not exist yet.

    Short DAX at 7740

Large block trades are allowed to take place by negotiating between 2 parties. Once the trade takes place, they appear on tape. X-Trader has interface disigned for such trades.

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

Hi Surf, Are you deliberately ignoring the explanations that are provided? The CVB size is subjective to each persons goals/styles, once size is chosen everything else become objective. This is my last response on this question. redduke

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

Surf, Here is my post from several pages back. I explained your question in it. One number is not superior to another. The number is chosen based on ones style and holding period. I personally trade on short term basis and therefore have small volume bar size. I also prefer volume bars...

Citi to take $8 billion to $11 billion in additional writedowns

This is probably true. I pesonally hate that rekless people get away with 100s of miilions making sharehodlers and government to pay for their mistakes, but should the government let Citi fail, the reprecussions will be more severe then anyone can imagine. Thus lesser eveil is always more...

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

One number is not superior to another. The number is chosen based on ones style and holding period. I personally trade on short term basis and therefore have small volume bar size. I also prefer volume bars to tic becuase the signals are seen on them much clearer. If somene sends few large...

    I LOVE the HSI futs!

Your best bet to trade HSI is Interactive Brokers. Mini is not as liquid as big HSI which is also pretty thin.

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

Hi Mitch, Unzip the file. It has 3 indicators: Ergodic, TSI and EMA (some modified version). Take any or all and copy them to the following folder: My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\bin\Custom\Indicator. Then open the indicator through Edit Script from Ninja Control Panel menu and click on compile...

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

Totally agree. Single indicator along with price action is pretty much all one needs. What I also use, once I get a signal for a trade, is DOM (market depth) along with T&S for more precise entry decisions and sometimes reversal decisions.

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

There is another one CCI. It does wonders on volume charts. I have been using it for over 2 years now.

SEC eyes Goldman Sach's Good Fortune

The area where SEC needs to investigate is all these Special Vehicles which are not marked to market but rather to GS own models. Merill had guts to mark them down. I remember originally they forecasted 5 bil loss, then they decided to mark it down 3 more yards. Too much “of balance...
