    FXCM Micro Withdrawls

Credit cards have a high cost of doing business. Any merchant will tell you it costs minimum 2%, usually more like 3%+ to process credit card transactions. Not to mention charge back costs. Yet they do not pass on those costs to the customer. Any shop that accepts credit cards is being run more...

    FXCM Micro Withdrawls

Hedging means to pass a customer's order onto the real market. Bucketshops such as FXCM act as a trading counter party to their customers. If 60% of their customers are short the euro for example, the company will short the euro on the real spot fx market to hedge the risk. This is to protect...

    FXCM Micro Withdrawls

Micro accounts aren't hedged so the brokers are profiting from failure of these accounts.

    Gap-up to 1.5000

Yes something is up. Inflection point maybe? Then again these days everyday seems like an inflection point everything that is happening is so unprecedented. Maybe stocks will play catchup this week. Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

    Long term investing

I never heard of people using borrowed money for long term investments. Leverage is fine for short term trades, but long term it isn't advisable. If I were you, I'd trade the money you have now until I'd get up into the 6 figure range. Then start building a non diversified portfolio of...

The 'Dollar Is Going to Crash' Crowd Are Oblivious...

I am as bullish on gold as anyone, but I still think the dollar crash crowd is off the mark. I think we are going to see a long period of increased savings, and decreased spending. All of which will contain inflation. I think it will be a buyers market for assets such as houses, stocks...

    Long term investing

What makes you think that you will be able to borrow money at a lower interest rate than the bond fund pays out? You won't. You need to completely rethink your strategy. You also need to contribute vastly more than $7500 a year, or get much higher returns than you get from bond funds. Otherwise...

I'm thinking about buying a house - should I do it?

No. Buy a doublewide for cheap and trade the cash. Assuming you know how to trade. Why the heck would you plop down you life savings for a house? They re overrated.

    US Debt Ratings Downgrade, meaningless?

Correct because the US will NEVER default on its debt. It will run the printing presses until the bitter end to pay the interest on all of its outstanding bonds. The only default will be a quazi one via inflation.
