    VGA Splitter

I had previously used some splitters like that. The result was not satisfactory. On both monitors I saw ghost images. If you want to duplicate the image display on a second monitor, I think a dual-monitor video card is the best choice.

    VGA Splitter

What is a VGA splitter? What are you trying to do? Having 1 computer with 2 monitors, and both monitors displaying the same image?

Average daily profit with $50K account?

From my estimate: $800 a day, $200,000 a year. That's about 400% a year. Put tax aside, at 400% a year... year 2 you will get $800k. Year 3: $3.2 mil. Year 4: $13 million. Congratulations! Please don't forget us little people on ET.

    trading performance

If you outperform the S&P by 20-30%, you can pat yourself on the back because you have beaten most of the mutual fund managers. Since you are making money, you have beaten perhaps 90% of the traders who are not profitable. As an individual trader, we need to aim higher. Beating the S&P by...

    Fear and delusion

I tend to agress with qwerty. Your posts seemed to have some conflicting points. What you said: Then you also said: Why do you think you can clear some obstacles for newer traders? Paid or voluntary.

    DSL vs. Cable question

Not sure if this question was directed to me. If it is... No I don't have a dual router. I only put different computers (I have 4 desktops and 1 laptop all used in trading) on different technologies. A po-boy load balancing.

    DSL vs. Cable question

The reliability may depend on where you live and how far you are from the CO (Central Office). I have both Comcast cable modem and AT&T (formerly SBC (formerly Pacific Bell (formerly AT&T))) DSL. I have both because I want to avoid having no Internet connection during any trading sessions...

    Fear and delusion

What? You mean trading is not just placing some orders in the morning, go play a round of golf, and occassionally check the price quotes on the I-phone, and get paid handsomely at the end of the day? Now you tell me...

    I am finished.

This is a set of very simple questions. BPTrader: 1. What is the purpose of your 3 threads? 2. Are you really finished?

Anyone travel the world all while trading?

Your world seems to be leaning towards the European side. I have done some full-session trading while in China for a few months. The first thing you need to get used to is the time difference. GMT+8 in China. US markets open at 10:30 pm local time in the winter and 9:30 pm local time in...

    I am done with trading.

Your posts are so predictable now. I have read a few of your 3179 posts. (More than I want) Basically they are all around the same theme of: - Nobody can make money by trading. - If you make money by trading, you are only lucky. - You lose because you day trade. - Nobody makes money...

"rich dad/ poor dad" Japanese guy now a TA guru

I don't know what this "being responsible" means. Anybody who is full of hot air can write a book. This is a free country! It's a matter of whether one can find a publisher to publish the work and whether there will be enough people wanting to buy that book. So let's say in the book, the...

"rich dad/ poor dad" Japanese guy now a TA guru

Come on guys! I don't believe all those "Rich Dad Poor Dad This and That" books are written by Robert Kiyosaki himself. Maybe only the first one. Different writters are just tapping on his fame. Like those "Donald Trump This and That" book series. Yeah right... Donald Trump is going to...

    Buying Dell Precision T3400, questions

I believe the difference is size of the chasiss. Mini-tower bigger than desktop. Mini-tower, you will likely put the box on the floor vertically. Desktop, you can put the box on the top of your desk. Check with the website for sure (on dimensions). For your trading applications the more...

    I went totally broke because...

There is no 100% certainty in trading. Nor in life. If you wait for a "100% certainty", (and it wll only reveal itself after it has already happened) you will miss the trade. Sometimes, a 70%+ certain is a good enough bet. Something that happens 7 to 8 times out of 10 is good enough...

    I am done with trading.

My read: BPTrader has many bipolar mood swings, not unlike the S&P movement on Friday (2/12/2010). Often times you will find him a cocky newcomer telling other newcomers what to do. But just as often you find him totally deflated like now. His journal (which he abandoned because he...
