I also think that was a great job yesterday. You manage to have such a profit in a range bound day. Wonderful!

What should I do with my system?

He was asking for your twenty bucks donation to keep him alive. Or that he had to go find a job. Does it look like he has a 8% a month system? http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=186896&perpage=6&pagenumber=1 And he said Dow will hit 20,000 in two years (from Dec 2009).

    Windows 7

PS: Another Win7 feature that I like: searching for documents on your computer. Very fast and thurough. Not new in Windows 7. But very easy to use. Has a "Google result list" kind of style citing 2 lines from the content of your document where your key words are found.

    Windows 7

In general, every new version of Windows would require more memory and processing power to support because of the added new features. That's simply technology progression. Memory is cheap these days. Compared to many years ago. I still have an e-machine box that had 256MB of memory running...

    Trading Broker fees/Tax/Washsale/Please advice.......

I think if you can prove to the IRS that you are a trader not an investor, then the wash rule will not apply. If all your trades were day trades (or even very short-term trades, e.g. only a few days holding), there shouldn't be much difficulty. The sticky part was some investors claim to...

    Matcha's Dow E-mini Journal

That was a very nice trade! :) Remember what I said about the "move size". For ES that's 5-6 points at a time. Dow is probably 50 to 60 points at a time. Dow moved down from around 11240... 50 points... took it to around 11190. That see it bounced. But only bounced half the move...

    Automated Stock Trading For Beginners

If you are an investor - instead of an active trader - do you really want to automate your trading? Are these intraday trading signals really so important to you?

Can I use a TV screen instead of multi monitors ?

zanek's note reminded me... If your HDTV has only HDMI input, and your video card has only DVI output, you can get a conversion cable to connect the two. DVI on one end and HDMI on the other end.

Can I use a TV screen instead of multi monitors ?

zanek: You mentioned "1 inch away" several times. 1 inch is between what and what? The display is quite niice!

Can I use a TV screen instead of multi monitors ?

Most likely not. But it depends. Some HDTVs have SVGA input. Those are for analog signals. Specifically for computers. They look like this: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&source=imghp&biw=1484&bih=727&q=svga&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= If so, you can use a SVGA cable to...

Can I use a TV screen instead of multi monitors ?

Do you plan to read any text display on the monitor? 15 feet away? Seriously? For people with normal vision, let's say using a 22-inch monitor, using resoltion 1920 x 1080. The typical distance is about 24 inchs to 30 inchs. You can read small text display on the charts. To maintain...

    Matcha's Dow E-mini Journal

Matcha: Some food for thoughts. 1) Observe your instrument(s). For the ES, it typically runs 5 to 6 points at a time, then maybe 10 to 12 points at a time. There usually are some kind of bounces at those points. For the Dow, it would probably be about 100 to 120 Dow points. 2) The...

    6-Monitor Setup

That sounds good. And reasonably priced. The only concern I would have is: The mount uses a G-clamp, which will be attached to the far edge of the desk. A typical desk is about 2.5' in length. You would pretty much have to sit right against the near side edge of your desk, or else the...

'I Have A Dream'- to all futures traders

I think the logistics will be a nightmare. Are you going to have an "All or None" order for every trade? Let's say you post 1000 contracts to long (or short). 700 contracts got filled. The market ran away. Then you cancel the remaining orders. Place an order to exit 700 contracts at a...

Day trading as a living should be impossible

That's what I wish too. There will be big money opportunities. But I wouldn't say it's real easy money. It takes a lot of guts (and experiences definitely help) to trade in those environments. I miss 2008. :)

Day trading as a living should be impossible

Your figures did not make sense. Not everybody lives in Beverly Hills. 8-10K monthly expenses? That translates to $96,000 to $120,000 expenses a year. That is based on after tax dollars. Here is some stats about houshold income...

Is S&P forming intermediate term double top?

I think this goes to most of the polls posted in this Trading subforum. Especially those posted every week. It seems as if someone can't decide whether to go long or short on the market unless he sees a majority of the people responded saying one side or the other. Absolutely useless.

    Screen Recorder Level II

What are you thinking of "sharing" exactly? Just a recorded video of how the bid/ask changed for a given stock through out a given day? (Who would care for that?) Or your teaching of how to interpret the level II information?

    Matcha's Dow E-mini Journal

Welcome back, Sweetie! :D I gotta say this: I think candle-stick thing is overrated. I am not kidding when I say this. And I also would say Brook's bar-by-bar is also overrated. :) I think bar-by-bar, and candle analysis are only useful on daily charts. Once you switch the time-frame...
