You know you need to relax when you catch yourself reading about saddle gamma

Zdogg is mordantly funny, smart as hell, and on point re COVID, nursing, etc. He's awesome, and pretty much anything he does on YT is worth watching.

You know you need to relax when you catch yourself reading about saddle gamma

Dude. Zdogg is a doctor. The video is snarking at nurses and doctors who overuse Ativan, Haldol, etc. for "unruly" patients.

You know you need to relax when you catch yourself reading about saddle gamma

I don't know... I've been looking at theta/gamma/IV surfaces for a while now, and don't feel any need to take a rest. (Oh, is it time for my Thorazine shot now? No need for the taser, I'll take it quietly.)

How much Space-X is (could be) worth ?

Technology always propagates in stages; I believe it was Jared Diamond who quantified it roughly like this: "first, it is nearly impossible and available only to the wealthiest; next, it is difficult and merely expensive; last, it is so common that no one can imagine it not existing." I'm quite...

How much Space-X is (could be) worth ?

I'm glad that you know, with such unshakable certainty, what reality is; when you make a billion dollars based on this absolute knowledge, I'll be able to bask in your reflected glory and boast that I actually exchanged messages to you way back when, and produce the ET log as proof. :)...

How much Space-X is (could be) worth ?

Given the history of technology and the almost universal failure (on the short side) to predict how soon a given invention will come of age, I'd say you're far more likely to be right than any naysayer.

How much Space-X is (could be) worth ?

"No, Sir. The Americans have need of the telephone, but we do not. We have plenty of messenger boys." -- Sir William Preece of the British Post Office Engineering staff "There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home." -- Digital Equipment Corp. founder Ken Olsen "They...

Buying the low of march 23 2020

Or keep thinking "it's not the norm!" and sitting out all the amazing opportunities it presents. I don't think "the norm" makes a useful metric right now.

The 80% fall of the SPG

That's what I was thinking - which is why the current price of SPG is surprising to me too. I'm in it, or will be shortly (sold a put on it with a break-even of ~$63.50 that expires on 21 Aug), and I'm planning to hold it while selling calls on it. Interesting point about the float, though...

    TSLA options

There's a reason that I mentioned looking at the curve of theta over the remaining time... the acceleration at the end. Being long an option at 4DTE is just silly beyond all reason. That there's Mur'ca, boy! Don't you know nothin'?

What stocks are still good to buy for an investment?

This is a trading - rather than investing - forum. Probably not the best place to ask investing questions. With that said, the chance of you (or anyone) picking something that will do better than SPY/SPX over the long term is pretty slim.

The 80% fall of the SPG

I'm missing the point here. Are you thinking they're getting ready to dump it and it's a good short candidate?

    TSLA options

Excellent. That might eventually stop you from firing off random trades that you obviously don't understand, and get you to either give up trading options OR doing a bit of studying so you'll understand why you shouldn't do this. Repeating: "...why you shouldn't do this." Expanding a bit...

Can one leg of an IC get exercised?

@luckyfnlou - I get your point. I addressed it earlier by talking about expiration risk, but - from personal experience - you can indeed hold ICs to expiration in retirement accounts (as I did in my early trading days.) This does bring up an interesting question: exactly what does "not allowed...

Can one leg of an IC get exercised?

@luckyfnlou - the point of an IC is that you don't end up either long or short stock regardless of price movement; the wings cap your loss and essentially prevent you from needing to do anything with stock. It's pretty much the default trade in retirement accounts.
