    QQQ The March to 500

Why what? Exactly. Still are. I've seen many people who have kept trying to pick a top since October 2023 if we look at this last leg up.

Well, if you zoom out long enough, surely it's up, no? :) Personally, I thought it was interesting that yesterday didn't drop more than it did as TWD is usually (80 %) a red day and even a fairly red day. Next week also marks the end of June. Have to say I'm feeling pretty bullish still.

No. Seriously. What did you think my reply was going to be? LOL. I'm not sure how much respect is deserved if you're a long only buy and hold investor starting out around 2010 which is about when some of the people I personally know started out as investors in the stock market. Early 2020 was...

Same, @vanzandt. At least we got the red close. ;) How about next week?

I have a different view. Successful trading is about exploiting the market. If it’s a strong bull market - even if it’s a bubble, manipulated by the FED or whatever conspiracy theory is on the menu - then exploit it by going with the flow. I’ve seen many who may have brains over the years who...

No easy answers here, but generally, I think it's a good practice to never let, say a 10 point unrealized profit go back to even. If you're 7-8 points in the money and lock in 5 points, you're vulnerable to getting stopped out on noise. Not ever day offers 20 point moves either, unless you got...

Stopped and done for the week. Several of my entries were in the money, so I suppose I got too greedy and overconfident. No biggie, though. If we move strong above 5545 I would be slightly surprised, but maybe I shouldn't be. Probably better opportunities next week. :)

Stopped! Price action feels like somebody wants to bring this market down today, but it's just impossible. Giving it one last shot. Shorted 35 again. 4 point stop.

Shorting this market feels like David versus Goliath. LOL. I'm always on edge whenever I'm shorting this. Usually calm and collected when long even if it's a poor entry. Always a bid in this freaking market.

Reduce risk to breakeven at 35. Putting in a limit buy at 5510 and doing something else for a while, but watching with half an eye. Could be we have the LOD already and settle in the 5519-5550 range, but seemed a bit premature. EDIT: Give it 1.5 points at 36.50.

Short 35. 5 point stop. Last bullet.

Stopped. Maybe that was it for the down side. May take another short in this area or a bit higher.

If it was any other day I would probably be taking a long, too. Went short 31. 5 point stop.

1 % down is not uncommon on TWD. That's 5490. The perma-bull in me says no f**king way. LOL. If we dip below 5525 - it could happen. Guess that would make a lot of calls expire worthless. Lots of stuff going on today, though, so it's hard to predict. Short bias in effect for the day.

I would think this initial push higher fails.

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

I don't have too strong expectations myself, but I do think the first hour will be choppy as is common on options expiration. If my statistics have any significance I don't think we'll take out yesterday's high today. Most likely a failure around yesterday's close / overnight high and a sell...

I don't know. And I'm not even sure there's such a thing, but I imagine there's a lot of calls which the MMS would like to see expire out of the money. TWD over the last 5 years: 80 % negative with the average change being -0.71 %. I expect selling pressure and we're already seeing some...
