This is such a BS candlestick pattern

How about focusing on 'what works' instead of making BS threads about what is BS and not. :)

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

I bet a lot of suckers shorted this trendline break or pullback, but it's a low probability trade, IMO. There's a chance the high is printed for today, but according to my 'read', there's still more upside and we're more likely to make a new high by end of day closing in on 2730. In my opinion...

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

I subscribe to facts, not methods taught by others. It's not that long ago I actually tested a pattern based on an Outside Day which turned out to have the complete opposite result of that was taught where I read it. Textbooks often cherrypick stuff and/or teach stuff that's simply not up to...

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

Regarding 'gap fills', I've always considered the Close at the prior day 16:00 (equities cash close) to be the reference. So, for today, we have a gap of + 8,0 points at the Open (2704,25 - 2696,25) which remains unfilled for now. Some people might have other definitions and might say that the...

2720-30 should be a good upside target for today.

I'm noting comments and statements about 'volume' and I'm curious if they're based on actual research or if it's just repeating textbook stuff or stuff one is told from others...

Range expansion to the downside seems like the most probable scenario at this point.

    Women and life balance

At 23 I wouldn't worry about a serious relationship, but by all means, do not lose your friends! Women come and go, but a friendship lost is one you'll have a hard time regaining and you'll find that true and deep friendship is hard to come by. At least that's my experience. I easily make new...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

You seem to be silent when the market's going down. Have happened quite often lately.

Daytrading: Should I consider other software than NinjaTrader?

When you use it? :) It's gone on the latest update, though. No idea about dragging tabs...

Daytrading: Should I consider other software than NinjaTrader?

I agree with this. But isn't it nearly two years since NT8 was released by now? Hence my disappointment. I decided to upgrade as I was doing some custom work anyway and upgraded my entire trading rig. But there have been moments along the way where I have simply considered just staying with...

Daytrading: Should I consider other software than NinjaTrader?

I sure hope there are improvements, but I still think it's a disappointment all things considered. I know users have struggled with a slow and lagging crosshair for over a year now. Completely unacceptable for such a basic feature, IMO. The only thing I personally have benefited from at this...

Daytrading: Should I consider other software than NinjaTrader?

Interesting, Schweiz. I understand your reluctancy with upgrading. I did move on to NT8 myself and have been slightly disappointed at this point. Haven't noticed any significant performance improvements. In fact, at first, they had trouble with a lagging crosshair. Doesn't seem like an...

Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

NY time, which I suppose is ET? With 15:55 I mean 5 minutes prior to the cash close for US Equities at 16:00.

How did you make those indicators or strategies for NT7 in the first place, then?

Where to find historical futures data?

You need NT, yes, but it's free and quick to set up. I don't know much about the data provided as I pretty much view only a few select futures markets, but I do know they have quite a bit.

Price driven charts - Do you adjust settings based on changes in volatility?

Sounds interesting. Care to share more...? :) I pay close to various price parameters including various ways to measure volatility which is updated daily/weekly, but haven't yet incorporated it in my use of tick/volume charts which I'm still studying.
