That's a sticking point of mine: dealing with counter-trend moves and retraces. The direction for today have been up all day long, but with deep retraces.

Care to elaborate? I don't see it. I got a sell signal myself just a few minutes ago, but due to my general up bias for today, I'm not trading it and think it might not be good for more than a decent scalp.

I got back in long (didn't post), but took an exit on this recent top. Too much divergence with NQ to risk more upside. I like to see participation from NQ and preferrably leading. If we sell, I'm certain we won't close below 93 today, nor fill the gap. Main scenario is more upside...

ES new highs. NQ not. Come on now, NQ. I need a little push here. :)

I actually made fun of that old saying here a little while back while anticipating a short entry during a dull market. For today, the data simply does not support it though. :)

Upside target when taking out this triple top will be 08/09.

I'm very certain that the LOD is in, so wouldn't be too hopeful for a sell today. It would be a very rare pattern to see a sell from here. What's less certain is if the HOD is in, but I think it's not and stand by my initial expectation looking for a new high soon and the HOD printing in an...

The market is triangulating and choppy here before picking a direction. Inflection zone, IMO. I still think up is far more likely than down, but NQ is looking heavy...

Average daily range takes us up to 2810 by the Close. This is what I'm (nervously) anticipating for today. I'm long again at 99. Stop at 97.

And stopped. -1,0. Will probably try to re-enter long at a better price. Unless my perception should change...

L 99. Stop @ 98. Update: Anticipating new highs by the close or the very least a test of the highs. I don't think it's likely we'll fill the gap below today, but we might of course have a deeper pullback than this, so utilizing a tight stop on this one.

Statistical data from a similar pattern in the past. Visually, I think one could perceive last week being a bull flag which we broke out of yesterday (Monday). Add to that: "It's a bull market, you know." We had every chance to sell off last week, but didn't. I'll add that to the bull case...

I agree with what you previously said. Actually, I trialed Sierra and really wanted to leave NT behind for the reasons you mentioned, but didn't like it. I've used NT for so long now and have had access to some custom stuff there and find it easy to create/program new stuff (maybe that's true...

Continuing this call - I think we'll see at least 2 consecutive positive closes for the next two following days and most likely trade above 2820 by end of week. I am not trading this call as I'm strictly day trading, but I'd like to practice my prediction skills over a longer time horizon also. :)

Yes. I'm always paying close attention to NQ. I find it to be a great utility.

Any chance you'll share what made you change from bull to bear? I wasn't cheeky when I asked you a few pages back. Genuinely curious.

NQ made new highs which got sold. To quote @Buy1Sell2 : I see no obvious reason to be short here, except for a small counter-trend scalp. :)

I waited a long time before making the change continuing to use NT7. As I was creating some custom indicators, I decided I'd go for NT8 and figured it was ready for use. Many people claimed it to be a great improvement, but to me it wasn't. The only improvement for me is the ability to tile...
