No idea to be honest. I just feel (oh no) that something possibly changed in the markets this week.

Well done, @schizo! Why did you see Tuesday as an inflection point?

Current bull market's been pretty easy to navigate, though. More like a set-it-and-forget-it type of market.

It's been a hell of a run. Maybe fall came early this year. Or maybe it runs back up next week. That's anyone's guess at this point.

Seems like the entire world was trying to pick a bottom this week with a few exceptions. I guess that's a natural consequence of the euphoric bull market we've had lately, but something possibly changed this week and at this point it's wise to consider the fact that we may have started a...

I'm curious as to why the market actually sold off these last few days. Uncertainty around the election with Biden possibly retreating one of the factors...?

And back down. Volatility increased these last few days.

ES Outside Week now. Bidless market for now.

Weak dip below the prior day LOD and a rally back in range. Let's see if that was it below for now.

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

From what I've picked up a lot of people are only too eager to short this market, so wouldn't be surprised if quite a few traders are trapped short near yesterday's low from here. Could be a nice set-up for a squeeze today. Not at my trading computer ATM, so just going by memory, but I do think...

Even if this is market top (assuming it's not for now), it's not likely to top out in one day. There's usually always some back and forth. So, looks like a green day today from my POV. A move back to 5690/5700 seems likely in RTH if we catch a bid. No follow through to the downside so far in ETH.

The US V-Day crew got this! :) As long as the current LOD (55,25) or 50 holds - would assume we could see 90 or 5700 from here.

Impressive sell-off! Down 1 % here pre-market. Unless something actually changed, surely 50 should offer a good buying opportunity.

Funny how that works. LOL. Yesterday's late session spike seemed a bit climactic. Nice call from @vanzandt! I'm trying to ease a bit into some kind of holiday and wasn't planning on trading much today, but the market's oversold here short term unless there's some actual reversal happening, so...

What Advice Would You Give to Beginner Day Traders?

This is the advice I would give (in short - forget about day trading): suggestions on funding your trading account for new traders

suggestions on funding your trading account for new traders

In summary, you're short on: 1) Experience + trading skills 2) Capital At this point in time, capital should be of no concern to you. Realistically, for an amateur retail trader figuring out this on his own 5 years of intense work is the absolute minimum from my point of view. 10 years is...

Huge day today. I'll keep the number to myself as nobody would believe me. This bull market is the gift that keeps on giving. :)

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

As suspected...6.75 points below the current LOD before it snapped back up. 6 points shy of the gap. Unless you're shorting near a major high (which is always difficult for me when it's a strong bull market), it's very tough to short this currently beyond a minor scalp. I'll leave that to the...

Same. The morning was predictable (unless I was lucky), but right now it's uncertain. Would assume back up as long as the LOD holds. And if the LOD breaks - pretty sure there's a bid not far below as usual.
