Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

What would be really cool IMHO is if that plot could be played through the evolution of the structure over time... as a video; just to see the duration and extent of any gaps which might exist while building it.

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

Uh.... here's where you lose me. Either you "got lucky" or there's an edge; some persistent economic value you're creating. In the former, count your blessings and get out. In the later, double-down... but I have yet to understand exactly what economic value is being created. Can you describe...

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

Well, there's certainly nothing wrong with taking chips off the table while you're ahead. That's a strategy I can get behind!

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

I have to admit I'm at a slight loss w.r.t. the above. It seems to me you either want the risk or you don't. IOW, I don't see how you can "address" this risk and still collect premiums. There aren't any free lunches... that's exactly what the principle of no-arbitrage implies. With all due...

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

If I understand BWS correctly, he's saying there will be a sudden vol regime change (discontinuity) and you'll get caught off guard without having time to buy back the puts. Again, in theory... you may be able to play the game for a pretty long time before getting caught though.

    Unsettled cash wrong calculated

That's perfectly fair enough.... I'm a big advocate of double-checking results. That said, prematurely jumping to the conclusion that there's a "bug" or you're right and they're wrong is not a great character trait. This is @earth_imperator's modus operandi. Digging deep, doing your homework...

    Broker silently changed the conditions...

That would make way too much sense. Much easier to get on the forum and bitch to random strangers (that you have no business with) about how you know everything and the world is conspiring to get you.

    Broker silently changed the conditions...

Forget about all that. The screen cap shows he only got $3.60... apparently he thinks he's going to get the ask when selling at market.

Does working hard really make you a good person?

Hate to be a pedant but this is a fantastic oversimplification and certainly doesn't take the marginal utility of money into account. Otherwise... how do we explain tax accountants, havens and loopholes? IOW, some people work hard to make a good living via tax avoidance! Just sayin'

Why are there illegal option orders in the orderbook?

Good riddance.... like I don't know how to browse without being logged in and copy identifiers by hand. What a d-bag! You can't block the fact that you're a desperate nitwit.

Why are there illegal option orders in the orderbook?

I think he's deliberately being a heel to get attention. He even tries to walk back the statement a bit here: and here: First it's illegal, now maybe just invalid. But the dopamine hit from the attention is too good so he goes back to hyperbole. Typical troll behavior; he's not serious...
