    Choosing an API

Lol, of course... those were in the lab at my uni. At BoNY we had something more like the NCD "pizza boxes". Man, I'm getting old :(

    Just redact the account number.

In search of a TT-API developer

Well, not really... because you may end up paying them $15/hr for a pretty long time just screw things up. There's always risk. The point re: the market for lemons is, there's massive information asymmetry and if you can't spot the good from the bad on your own, you're basically out of luck...

    Choosing an API

Yeah, I remember. Me too... writing reports for BoNY @ 240 Greenwich st., early-mid '90s. Ah the good old days; glad I wasn't there when they bombed the towers though! I remember when I saw the movie "The Matrix" there's a scene that reminded me exactly of walking into the building, like a...

That's what compatibility shim layers are for, right? I still have some stuff from the VMS days that I'm still using ;)

In search of a TT-API developer

Well, IMHO it's because you're dealing with the so-called "lemon problem". There is huge adverse selection when looking for so-called "good developers". The actual good developers already have very high paying jobs (that they've developed for themselves)... right? You know of any good developers...

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

Journal of Empirical Finance... here we come! Lol, j/k if you think it's honestly a good trade I say go for it.

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

It sounds like a hedge to me.

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

The exercise strikes me as impractical and theoretically questionable. IMHO I wouldn't be racing to submit the idea to any peer-reviewed academic journals yet. Just my 2 cents; no offense intended to OP.

    Broker silently changed the conditions...

Yeah... I won't speak to anyone's math skills but there are folks on this forum with extreme personality disorders. That's for sure.

    Broker silently changed the conditions...

Lol, he's trying to "help" @zdreg understand how the message posting system works in terms of blocking. What I find especially funny is @zdreg's user id# is lower by about 520k which would mean that account (#19529) has been here way, way longer than @earth_imperator's (#533479) and probably...

I'll take these results at face value given that I'd be much more concerned about cherry-picking and over-fitting. Let's face it, 3 years isn't exactly a long time. That's just little ol' me though... I'm quite a risk averse person.

Lol, and to think... if @TheDawn came up with a theory about infinitesimal gamma instead, he could've sounded smart.

    Succession TV series finale

"The Roy family is known for controlling the biggest media and entertainment company in the world. However, their world changes when their father steps down from the company." - imdb Since the series centers around the struggle for power and control of Waystar|Royco, I'm wondering what people's...

What If You Guessed Really Right?

People want to suffer. It's part of human nature or maybe the Judeo-Christian ethic; both. They always think there's some clever trick. God forbid we take things at face value and accept them for what they are.

Free left tail convexity. Am I kidding myself?

Yeah, I know what you mean... it's the stitching together of the data w/ the pixels that's the real P.I.T.A. Omg, look at that... and with enough time to edit my post :-) Ask and ye shall receive! Now I wonder how well this one has aged; time for some fun and games.

Cool. You see any good 3-D vol surface plotting code out there? I was messing around with this (from here) for a while. But, I'm always on the look out for something interesting and libre to toy with.
