    Russia stocks erase $200 Billion

Your recent takes on things are generally stupid if you are being serious about any of this and not just trolling the board. Hikes are coming and the first few priced in with the correction. Markets are mostly about corporate success and profits and you seem to be oblivious to the earnings...

So did those 2 tickers maker or lose money for you ? I have no idea really I don't pay a lot of attention to QQQ these days.

Crude Oil on the Run Again. $100 in Sight!

Hardly anyone was buying at $100 I certainly would have shorted the first strike of that number if I traded Oil itself. The same thing happened at $70. Doesn't change the fact that $110-$120 is clearly a possibility. Now if you bought Oil producers you are laughing. Short term traders often get...

Who called the buy right when Russia struck?

History suggests that in most geopolitical events markets go down initially then the entire move cancels within a few months if not sooner. The difference here is US markets already corrected and things happen quicker in this environment. Markets may bounce around on news still but getting...

Canadian Truckers Lead ‘Freedom Convoy’ To Ottawa To Protest Vaxx Mandate

Most of us didn't even notice what was going on much and certainly cared far less about it then some on here did. The Ukraine conflict helps put it in perspective how stupid the whole protest was a bunch of whiners complaining about their Covid experience. A real war is something to be concerned...

    Russia & Ukraine

Putin is obviously a dangerous psychopath and anyone who supported him or anyone who cozied up to him ( eg Trump ) should be serious rethinking their ideas. Lots of innocent people getting killed as men ( its always men ) play their pointless power games based on greed and trying to control...

Who called the buy right when Russia struck?

Have to hold through the bs swings if anything the Oil stocks I trade were negatively correlated with WTI at times this week. Plus I was keenly aware of the earnings reports coming. In general, earnings reports often are followed by drops in the stocks lately, but not in Cdn energy. The public...

Did you enjoy your big sell off day on Friday ? Overreact much ?

    Stocks 2 Buy

Market is constantly behind pricing these Cdn energy stocks to reflect WTI and their rapidly improving finances. So what we get is consolidation and sometimes pull backs then they shoot off like a cannon on big volume. They can test your patience.

When Russia invades, go ALL IN...

WTI at $92 with solid chances of $100-$110 soon is very bullish for a sector that hasn't yet priced in $70++ Oil. So the stocks went up today some a ton on earnings. As I posted before, it's a free call on $100+ Oil right now all gravy if it happens and it's likely going to happen. Baytex for...

Who called the buy right when Russia struck?

Ukraine trade for me was long Oil, Nat Gas, and Gold stocks all week. It was choppy and peculiar at times but it worked out.

Who called the buy right when Russia struck?

I had one of my biggest daily gains today. I'm up 9% this month ( up 5% in January ). Took 20% off the table into the weekend including reduced my mining exposure ( yesterday was a joke on the open for the miners ). Big winner was Baytex Energy up 14.2% on the day.

    Stocks 2 Buy

Short term trade for me ( eg Ukraine angle ) I think stock wants to test $2; earnings on Tuesday. BTE and GXE look to be gaining strength the last two days I prefer those two as a hold.

    Stocks 2 Buy

This is a continuation of my ideas in Cdn energy ( mid caps and juniors ) from October 2020. Still considerable value and excellent earnings from the following TSX stocks : BTE, ERF, GXE, WCP, ARX. Others have also recommended CPG and MEG. Speculative buys ATH and CR are more dependent on...

Crude Oil on the Run Again. $100 in Sight!

$110 seems inevitable given everything going on and that Biden's using up all his reserves just to keep prices at $90.

Best ETFs for Playing Ukraine Invasion?

It's just a preview imo for Oil, Nat Gas, and Gold/Silver. Guess we'll see but the earnings reports are so good in Cdn energy it might not matter free call on higher Oil. I wouldn't touch QQQ yet in either direction.

Cathie Wood ARK Stays the Course, Betting Big on Innovation

Cdn energy firms continue to post great earnings reports ( ie real DEEP VALUE ). If only you didn't apply your jack ass analysis on some of them you could have made some serious money. Get ready for another leg up.

When Russia invades, go ALL IN...

Only worked as an overnight play. I wouldn't have touched it first thing not because of hindsight analysis just because I couldn't see much more drop coming even if we didn't reverse.

When Russia invades, go ALL IN...

The best trades on this topic likely are long Oil / Nat Gas stocks and long Gold/Silver stocks. Today was just a preview even without direct sanctions the Russian Oil supply will be hampered in an already tight market. Gold just looks like it's ready to reestablish as the safe haven and the...

is Cathie Wood’s fund in trouble?

Baytex ( BTE.TO ) massive earnings beat 0.98 net income in quarter vs $5 stock price. Debt reduction program ahead of schedule so share buy backs coming. This is stock that peaked at $50-60 in the last energy bull but bottomed at 0.29 in 2020. Enerplus ( ERF.TO ), Whitecap ( WCP.TO ) solid...
