Also, the largest percentage daily move I have in my database since 2008 is an up day (+11,63 %).

Fairly uncommon Open today, but we have seen similar movements in the past in case people have forgotten... They say that market drops much faster than they rise, but I wonder if that saying belongs to the past. Today, we went up 56,25 points in 16 minutes. The only comparable move recently...

Any platform supports 120 tick and 4 hour charts

Are you sure TT does not support it? Ninjatrader certainly does.

Did you actually have a 81 % drawdown in one single day or do I misread? If yes, I think it's time to pull the plug and do some more homework before more live trading. It seems like you're largely trading from the hip. In the long run - that means your account will blow. In some other thread...

    ES has built a rocket...

Since you talk about probabilities and textbooks - what are the probabilities then? Have you calculated them? Just a quick visual on your chart revealed a similar pattern which in fact preceded more downside:

    The S&P 500 topped at 3017.8

Would you be surprised if we trade back up to 3000 + from here? Or is that also a scenario you can see happen? I was very bearish going into this week and we got Monday, but we're now 110 points from Monday's Low (RTH). 150 points from ETH lows.

I think those posting only double digits are day trading and I think that's fine. If someone is swinging for larger trades like you are doing - it makes a lot more sense to add the whole number. Nice trading, man! :)

We certainly will. A month is a long time, so certainly no disagreement on my side. But when you said now look at 12/26/2018 - I interpreted it as you drawing a parallell between that day and yesterday. Seeing how the first happened after a 20 % drawdown and yesterday is not that far from a...

Tagged. 2 points shy, but close enough. Sadly, these strong counter moves stopped me out of several nice short entries today, so I ended today with a net loss. I got complacent and greedy after yesterday's action. Just watching now...

Large swings both ways, so better be nimble, yes. I still think 44.25 is a target on the day.

1st target below should be 53,50 - next stop would be yesterday's close at 2844,25. My best bet.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

A minor detail though: The markets were down - 20,00 % from the ATH that day. Currently, we're 'only' down 6,9 % ATH to bottom in RTH. Yesterday was 'brutal' with a huge gap down and zero counter movement from the open. I think this minor detail makes a big difference. Unless we get a huge...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

If we trade up tomorrow that will be short lived. Much more downside still.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Regardless of how strong this market have been - it is worth nothing that every all time high since the top in 2018 have been short lived and followed by a very decent correction (from 10 - 20 % down each).

We may consolidate tomorrow and Wednesday, but by end of week I certainly think we'll see that number, yes.

Are you a trader or an investor? These are perfect conditions for a trader. Let's hope it gets much worse. I won't hold my breath though. 100 points down from Friday close now.
