    Returning capital because what else would they do with it? They have 80bn in cash and generated 100bn in free cash flow last year. That’s 66percent of IBMs market cap. There was a guy on here who said that dividends and buybacks were immoral. He also said getting a mortgage was immoral.

    Correct. Prior to the first maturity, the risk is just the spread. After the first maturity, the risk is a naked long DITM call option (massive delta risk) and OP has to come up with cash to settle the short option. TT can't guarantee that the OP will close the trade prior to the first expiry...
