No doubt the OP is just paper trading. The 1st trade was believable - but the other trades are pointless.

Your post stated you sold the July 27 390 put when you bailed out of the July20 395 puts. The July 27 390 puts would be about $30.00 at the time - they are $16.00 now. No way did you buy or sell them at $16.00

I don't see the unrealized gain of $1065. There must be a typo in the positions you opened. The puts are at a loss. Is it the call spread that is showing the profit? But no way are the calls making up for the put positions.

That was quite the ride today. Ask for the 395 put is $17.10. $3100 unrealized loss at the open to a $143 unrealized loss at the close.

IMO ..... He is in a big dilemma. If he closes now and NFLX does reverse back to $400 the psychological hit will be worse than riding it down for further losses. NFLX up $17

NFLX up $10.00+ from market open. NFLX could easily be very close to $400 by week end.

$395 strike - $343 current NFLX price = $52+ put value

The put has a value of $52+ if the current NFLX price holds. By market open (9:30 AM EST ) on Tuesday it will be significantly different - up or down.

IMO ....... The entry was OK based on his opinion on the stock having a maximum drop of $15.00. And due to NFLX's volatility he collected some extra premium.

NFLX is so volatile that it could reverse back to $400 within a few days. Most earnings related moves are set-in-stone throughout the week - but not NFLX.
