    avoiding automatic liquidation by IB

IMO .... The OP should be monitoring his positions on expiry day and close them himself early in the day. On expiry day I close my positions shortly after market open - and enjoy the rest of the day off without worrying about OTM options expiring ITM. The OP was cutting it too close with this...

    Please kill my nick

What's the point of blocking me? - you sign out to read my posts, then react to some of them. Doesn't that defeat the blocking/ignore feature? I wouldn't consider that "cringey hero-worship". I replied to your posts or mentioned you 30 times over a 30-month period - that comes to once a...

    Getting orders filled on spreads

There is a good chance that most of those orders got filled due to the stock moving against you - so they were not filled at the "mid". How many orders didn't get filled at the mid and got away from you? Did you chase the quotes up or just let the trade go?

    Craigslist.org

Craigslist is the best place for local buying and selling. Ebay is best for items that can be shipped - and you don't mind waiting a few weeks. Amazon for buying new items - plus very fast shipping.

    Covered call calc

CC's are useless. Long shares gives you equal profit and loss potential. CC's takes away the profit potential, but you still have the loss potential - plus the peanuts you collect with the short calls.

    What do option traders see?

Q: Will volatility increase a lot in 2020? A: Depends on the equity. GOOGL's volatility is usually low - as it is now. TSLA's is very high at this time.

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

@sstheo Keep up the good work. Forget about @PoopyDeek - he means well but he is a Drama Queen, and craves attention. IMO .... the only way to trade $2,000 into $200,000 within a year is with long OTM equity options - GOOGL, AMZN, NFLX, QQQ, etc. But perhaps I'm wrong.

    Hedging a credit spread

The hedge worked - it prevented further losses. Close it, and work on the next trade. No such thing is a breakeven trade. There is always risk of losses on any trade. Rolling = closing a trade and opening up another trade.

    Hedging a credit spread

A credit spread is already hedged - with the long option. Why else do you buy the option?

Bought from a possibly scam refurbisher on Amazon! What should I do?

Amazon is very generous when it comes to refunds. And they make it easy. They refunded me counterfeit $350 Dark Shadows DVD set a few months after the return date had passed. I would accept it - and check it out yourself. Then decide if you are going to return it.

He (PoopyDeek) has me on Ignore also - I don't know why. PoopyDeek is very sensitive. PoopyDeek - forget old conflicts and clear your Ignore list.
