@guru .......You are just regurgitating stuff you read on the internet without knowing any details. That guy did not loose $100,000 due to a bad fill on a Market Order. Market Orders are perfectly safe with good fills on Nasdaq and NYSE stocks.

Looking at the standard +1,-2,+1 fly with the guts 1 strike OTM. The price target is the short options. The profit comes from the ITM option. Total cost of the fly is lower than the intrinsic value of the ITM option. If you buy just the ITM option it will cost you much more than the fly...

Perhaps your internet is slow - not the PC.

I like to look at the standard +1,-2,+1 fly has buying the ITM option at a major discount - much lower than intrinsic value. But with a major caveat - at expiry the underlying must close around the short options strike.
