I prefer to discuss these limits directly.

    Gross Position Value vs. NLV

GMV is the absolute value of all positions with no offsets.

    Gross Position Value vs. NLV

Yes, all PM Accounts. Wedbush calls it the leverage limit but it is calculated as GMV/Equity. I prefer to discuss these limits directly.

    Gross Position Value vs. NLV

Yes. Most of the concerns over pin risk, but some of it is the dollar value of the position. It can cause higher requirements at the OCC causing a capital cost. 30X is on the high side. BTW, this only applies to equity/option PMAs with us, not futures.

Any Broker Allows Trading Without Pro Data Subscription?

I do not know if you can trade with delayed data. https://www.cqg.com/partners/exchanges/monthly-fees

Any Broker Allows Trading Without Pro Data Subscription?

The CME 4 exchanges are very expensive and get worse with non-display fees for automated traders. If you use one trading platform, you should only have to pay that once, even if you clear at a few FCMs. I know some FCMs and trading platform's market up data to deliver it, but the CME only...

Any Broker Allows Trading Without Pro Data Subscription?

If you open an account with your LLC, the answer is you need to pay for Pro-data fees. I'm not sure where you get $1000 per month and why you need 3. Some platforms do not require market data to trade as they get their risk checks outside the system, but how will you trade without it? Are you a...

Why some brokers not update buy power real time ?

We do the same. Wedbush sets Day Trading BP from your overnight excess. If you exceed that, you will get a Day Trading Margin call. https://www.finra.org/investors/learn-to-invest/advanced-investing/day-trading-margin-requirements-know-rules See- Margin Calls

IB's chat service is useless: question about algos

Hi tonyf - IMO, you are finding it hard to get fills because you are hiding your orders and looking for rebates and you are not a Market Maker getting directed order flow. With 16 option exchange, market or marketable customer orders are being sent to where the DMM can control their cost or the...

I do not understand the question. In a futures account you can do both. You can leg it or do it as a User Defined Spread. Maybe you should call me one day or try it on a demo of CQG QTrader. https://www.cqg.com/products/cqg-qtrader

Sterling or das trader broker without minimum deposit ? Any ?

cashclay-Maybe you should consider a CASH account where the PDT rule does not apply. No leverage, no shorting and you have to wait 2 days for equity trades and 1 day for option trades to settle. You will not have to count your trades.

Each broker offers a different platform. Some might be capable of replicating CME exchange margin in Realtime, and some can't. Some charge more for margin so they do not have to load a SPAN file. The CME only calculates margin at end of day-between 4:15 and 6pm est. The CME offers risk offsets.

There are advantages for trading ES futures over SPY and ES options over .SPX. To get risk based margin on .SPX, you need a larger account and have to qualify for Portfolio Margin. SPY is a smaller contract and Reg-T does not provide an offset for SPY vs .SPX. ES options can hedge ES futures and...

The ES futures is $50X the index and the .SPX is $100X the index. You can reduce ES futures and option fees by leasing a IOM seat on the CME. https://www.cmegroup.com/company/membership/membership-and-lease-pricing.html.

With Lightspeed, the trading day ends at 8pm ET. If you bought a stock the trading day before X-Date, and at end of the day you have that long, you will get the dividend on the pay date.
