    suffering from margin call constantly

I can't speak for all brokers. We generally take action if a margin call or risk is ignored. We have no reason to outside of that.

    suffering from margin call constantly

My comment was meant to be very generic to let you know that any stock can change from fully marginable to something more restrictive. I find it hard to blame the broker. We do not have auto-liquidation, which gives you time adjust.

    suffering from margin call constantly

Hi taowave- Unfortunately margin is a moving target. Consider that one day a stock has a IVOL of 25 and then from news, moves 100% or more in less than a day. The leverage allowed needs to change. In addition, with the OCC TIMS for PM, all stocks have a 15% requirement, but then the OCC requires...

Do you pay borrow fee on share CFDs at IB?

Interesting. CFDs seem to trade like futures except your counter party is your broker vs the CME. If I have an account of $100,000, and I buy $200,000 of a CFD on say AAPL, I did not expect there would be a charge as your cash does not go toward providing funds to the seller. Your broker is the...

Do you pay borrow fee on share CFDs at IB?

That is an interesting question, as when you buy or sell short a CFD, there is no delivery. It is like a booked bet on the outcome. I'd also be interested to know if there are borrowing costs to be long with leverage. We do not offer them, so I'm not overly familiar with them.

Naked Option sellers are major losers today

I did not understand your post, but I've never seen a stock do this pre-market with a large market cap.

    Cash proceeds from option writing

I would be interested to see that email. I have been around the block and have never seen a short stock position offset a long stock position when it comes to the balances and how interest is charged and given.

    Brokers offering Futures on metals

Long options are fully paid for. I’m not sure how they can be “too much” of a deposit. We offer options on futures using CQG software.

How many contracts to buy for 3x leverage in futures?

Since all futures have different size contracts, look to the notional value. For example, the ES future right now is 3985 and the contract size is $50/point or 3985*50= $199,250. Compare that with your ETF at 3X.

Why do investors buy at higher prices ?

When "news" does not look real, check for the data on your own. I used https://www.quantumonline.com/ to then searched SEC filing.

    Dark pools

I understood your question. My answer remains the same. I'm not aware of any Dark pools on any CME symbols.

    Dark pools

All three show up in time and sales. What we call a block trade and what they do, might be defined differently. https://www.cmegroup.com/clearing/operations-and-deliveries/accepted-trade-types/block-data.html#tradeDate=2023-02-27

    Dark pools

I'm not aware of any Dark pools on any CME symbols. As far as I know all trades go through Open Outcry, Globex or Clearport. Clearport is not a dark pool. They are Privately Negotiated Trades.
