Stock orders, yes. We set buying power on DT margin accounts at around 4X your equity and the trading platfrom will reject orders above that. For PM, around 6.6. Futures are a little different. I'm going to email you too.

Margin calculation 2 is correct. Optimize by pairing off spreads 1st then use the leftover. That does not mean your clearing firm will do that every time.

They are not yet registered with FINRA, only NFA. If they raise AUM for a CTA they fee share.

If it's daytime trading hours and I'm watching my screen, I'd rather not use stop orders at all but if I do I would use a stop limit. If I take a small position before I go to sleep, I'd rather use a stop with protection.

Paper trading has no slippage. Getting a fill at 50.47 with a 50.48 stop is very good. If i were you, I would play smaller until you get your system working with real trading. Nothing wrong with 1 lots for a while.
