    IBKR -LOL

We are introducing brokers to IB for our LiveVolX software and I have accounts there that we service and support. And, I don't have to "suck up" accounts from IB, their clients come to me to either move or have a second account with us.

Need clarification of BID/ASK source for SPX

You need to ask what that is. If they are adding up all the bids on the 500 stocks and all the offers, that is silly. There is no bid/ask on a cash index.

Need clarification of BID/ASK source for SPX

SPX is the cash index based on the last sale of the 500 stocks. The hedge is the ES future, which MM use for pricing, because that is what they can hedge with. Most retail trades just watch the SPX cash. There is NO bid/ask on the Cash which updates every 15 seconds. Does that help?

Billionaire Investor Steve Cohen Just Had His Worst Year Since the Financial Crisis

From 1982 to 1984, I was a wire clerk, then floor broker for a member firm on the AMEX. We had institutional clients that traded options. There was on client where the phone line said, "Stevie/Gruntal". "Stevie" legged into reversals and conversion and took advantage of the miss pricing of...

Question. Why is my fill Prices above or below market?

Paper trading is not meant for accuracy, but for learning the software. You will never get real results with paper trading. IF you want to track expected P/L from that process, use a spread sheet and assume you have to take offers and hit bids. This will give conservative results. Also, although...

New guy with a few questions!

Hi Daniel, In general I would say it is best with a small account to focus on either equities or futures. For your questions, I'll focus on futures. 1-In the US, the CME offer these http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/agricultural/ 2-You can trade the S&P 500 with the ES futures...

    QQQ short

I can't add up my losses over the years from my opinions over when the market will change direction. I find it is more profitable to be conservative but trade the market we have vs what I expect.

Thinking Of Going For CFA -- Is It Possible?

I'm not aware of that, but it is still not a requirements. And, the 65 takes the average person 4 weeks of studying part time, under $300 for study material and the cost of the exam. I'd say the CFA will cost more in time and money.

Thinking Of Going For CFA -- Is It Possible?

xandman, If you are asking me, I don't expect that 3) is correct. No regulatory body requires a CFA to be an RIA, CTA or CPO.

Thinking Of Going For CFA -- Is It Possible?

I think this is more a manner of necessity. Some roles require one or the other or neither.
