Why did the market let me profit?

Same reason I once watched somebody playing craps and bet and through 12, four times in a row. A little bit of luck never hurts, but don't expect it to happen all the time.

How many here started in their 40's?

I would define successful: For an investor- beating the S&P 500 consistently, that it is worth the time and effort. For a full time trader- being able to have fun and make a living running their own business.

    Esignal not working

Good question. I have no idea, just guessing. You can try calling, but it is Sunday so I doubt anyone will answer now.

    Esignal not working

Sometimes firms do that when they get spammed or hacked. They need to put an end to the attack, fix the vulnerability, then go back live. It happens. Bob

List of CME Exchange Traded Spreads?

We only charge the $0.60/side. The rest is from the CME. Obviously you can lower those fees by leasing a membership if you do enough volume, and with that extra volume, we can charge less. The strategy does have a lot of contracts. Looks like B4/S4 is 16 RT. I have no idea what the profit...

List of CME Exchange Traded Spreads?

I tried watching it, but that was difficult to take in. If these are exchange traded CME spreads, I assume we can offer them but our account minimums are higher than $10,000. If you can understand how to make money from that video, I applaud you!

    Elite Trader's day trading spectrum

I have been in the business for over 35 years. 5%+ month with an account of material size today, is an unreasonable expectation with any strategy. If there is that much edge, someone will do it faster in size for less. Very rare.

Using Treasury Bills as Margin Collateral with FCM

TheBlackFrog, I'm very interested to know where you name came from. At Lightspeed Trading, we introduce futures accounts to Wedbush futures. I asked Wedbush your question and their response was,"95% of the T-bill can used for margin credit(buying power)...You can roll it out or allow it to...

    Livevol X

Steven Leeds, The CBOE still owns LVX and Livevol. They have no incentive to add products they don't offer on their exchange. I would not expect options on futures on any CME products anytime in 2017. If LVX is used through IB, so yes you can access these trading hours. Bob

    Livevol X

No sir. As I told Maverick74, only equity and index options. We can do options on SPX and VIX, but not options on CME futures.

List of CME Exchange Traded Spreads?

You can find everything here. https://www.cmegroup.com/clearing/margins/outright-vol-scans.html#sortField=exchange&sortAsc=true&pageNumber=1 You will have to sort for what you want.

List of CME Exchange Traded Spreads?

    Option spreads or calendar/crack spreads?
  14. Robert Morse

    Livevol X

Yes. If the account can be opened at IB, we can do it there. As a firm, we prefer that cash is held in USD as we are not approved for FX. In other words, you need to wire in and out USD. We can also do foreign accounts with both Reg-T and PM, except Canada at Wedbush.

Tradeking, optionshouse, eoptions - order filling

I just read that. Still don't know what it is or why it was referenced.

    Livevol X

CBC, If the account is at IB: IB/TWS handles routing. MD for LVX is provided by the CBOE. If you open an account at Wedbush, there will be no routing though LVX for a few months until we can add it to our OMS and MD will be provided by the CBOE. MD for an individual/non-pro is free on LVX and...

If SPY drops 34% intraday but recovers by market close, will SPXL bankrupt?

I'm not sure why any ETF would go "bankrupt" from movement or lack of movement. An ETF might one day de-list from lack of interest.
