Yes, I often do. But I expect many of the charting technique have changed too. Too much volume floods into ETF vs stocks, creating less opportunities.

Seven Traits that I Believe are Required for Active Investors to Win in the Long Term

I would say that is not accurate in my opinion. 20 years ago, there were only a few option exchanges and most options were single listed. Now we have 14 option exchanges. That alone reduces edge from the way markets are fragmented. 20 years ago, futures exchanges were controlled by members of...

    Margin/leverage in the auctions

I think what he is referring to is the ability to enter orders outside the market where you can't get a call if they are all executed. An example would be a scale order in AAPL to buy at 10 price levels and then sell at 10 price levels. Each order removes from buying power but if you do all...

    whats your roi

You should know that on ET I have spoken to traders that can't put together $2000 and ones mangaging $50mm. You can't always tell by their posts.

    Margin/leverage in the auctions

This is difficult to explain in this way, but I'll try a short explanation. Feel free to call me for a better explanation. For an account under $5mm, the clearing broker must calculate Day-Trading margin in real time based on time and tick. For accounts over $5mm, they are not required but...

Seven Traits that I Believe are Required for Active Investors to Win in the Long Term

I like it. I did not have a "desk" most of my trading career and had to stand! I said to myself each morning, "make money-have fun." When I lost money or had a bad morning, I'd go for a 10 minute walk, reset and pretend it was a new day. Bob

As a general statement, I'd agree with 3-7. I'd add, with your language: -Successful Active Investors have to be able to accept being wrong. -Successful Active Investors do the same thing over and over until it does not work anymore, but plan for the future with testing of new strategies...

    Platform and customization needed

It is possible you can do this with conditional orders. We offer RealTick. I would have to check with them to see what conditional orders are available.

I see that now and will respond. Everyone that focuses on low latency trading should take into account the cost of non-display fees for equities. https://www.ctaplan.com/publicdocs/ctaplan/notifications/trader-update/CTA%20Non%20Display%20Use%20FAQ.pdf

    whats your roi

I think any question like this needs to be associated with the size of the account. It is one thing to earn 25% on $5000, it is another to do that on $50mm. It also matters how much risk you were subject to to earn that return. Risk has a way of hitting you at some point, even if not in the...

    what does this tell you?

I was in London many years ago and watch a play called "Art". Is was about an all white painting that cost one of the cast $200,000 euros. It was very funny. https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2014/oct/28/yasmina-reza-art-20-years-enduring-appeal

Has anyone recovered money from stock ligitation lawsuits?

No. I never said any of those things. When there is a class action lawsuit, somehow they find out that I have traded those securities. I then get a mass mailing asking me if I want to be part of the class. I filled out everyone of those when I was trading full time. Some I got paid nothing...
