micro is the best thing that has ever happened for not only traders starting out but for people testing systems. nothing but nothing beats real money trading for learning, and the micro's are the best vehicle to get you there.

it's the use of limit orders, in backtesting it will curve fit to give good results and in real time it fails. you can not use limit orders in backtesting and expect the results to work in real time.

i don't think excel can calculate in real time what i need, i use multiple data streams from different exchanges with a lot of complication to get to a trade. excel honestly is 30 years ago trading style i would hate to go back to that. maybe first step is just to get adl to put on the trade...
