Has ET reached the Tipping Point?

Another thought on this point - letting winners run can be extremely painful. This may be why the Guru of one of the most painful forms of trading (trend following) started a "tribe" just for the purpose of getting people to work on themselves enough to accept the situation and follow the rules...

Has ET reached the Tipping Point?

    I figure I'm a good 2-3 years away from that point. :D

Has ET reached the Tipping Point?

    1. Look at the price 2. Note your emotions (greed, fear, indifference) 3. Do what feels WRONG - inflict the most pain in yourself possible (for me, this is buying the capitulation spike down, after it stops moving briefly) 4. Cash out when you start to feel good with the position...

Trading Wisdom for Aspiring Hedge Fund Managers

At risk of seeming like a mercenary trader sock puppet, this post speaks to my own experience. I've found that outlier wins make all the profit, are impossible to predict, and are made possible by all the churning small wins and losses along the way. He obviously has one, and it seems to me...

Trading Wisdom for Aspiring Hedge Fund Managers

Interesting........ so all this time the concept of "positive expectancy" has been just a fantasy? Back test results are all curve fits? Forward tests are just luck? All coins are fair? No dice are loaded? Leveraged traders like you don't panic and create tails?

World War III - has begun.

Compliment taken (thanks) :) I'm in my mid 30s, and the wisdom beyond years that you detect in my posts is simply the result of the fear of the LORD.

    Catching Tails

Elite capital allocators, I hope you all had a huge week of consistent profits. As for me, it was another week of testing on sim, the ABC12 top gainer third wave breakout setup. Overall it's proving to be satisfactory. I haven't kept exact stats but win rate is roughly 60% and the p/l is...

World War III - has begun.

Ignorance is necessary to support communist ideology. I, however, am not blind to the historical record of agitation, community disruption, the reversal of gender roles, the shaming of traditional values, and the complete media bias toward these corrosive effects, typically lauded by atheists...

    trading is really stupid

    1. You invest in young pharmaceutical company 2. You happen to pick the company that has found a cure for the common cold (or a real world example: RPRX with its testosterone replacement drug) 3. Since this company has enabled millions of people to remain in the work place, there is a...

You are an agitator, and from what little I could stand from attempting to read your various posts, an anarchist and perhaps a communist.

    trading is really stupid

Perhaps if you learned bottom up investing, you might 1. double your money for once 2. provide capital to small companies with real solutions 3. make the world a better place by lending money to productive capitalists 4. realize that not all trading is zero sum
