What do you think of BUY on Breakout strategy

If it retraces beyond your risk limit you sell. You have a usable method if the probability of wins multiplied by avg. win amount is greater than probability of loss times risk amount. This is the essence of Master Trading. You will lose, and that is where the money is made..........

    Intraday Trading- Stocks vs Futures?

The obvious differences are leverage and cap gains tax rates, but other than that they are pretty similar. Futures markets (speaking only on ES vs. SPY) tend to be less volatile than the cash market, which can make some bodacious moves. Another option is to use long calls / puts or whatever...

    Bobby Jindal said:

Welfare recipients are only such because they can not control their own breeding. They are mostly single moms who got "muh dikked" by some baby daddy and now have benefits. They should submit to the commandments of the LORD, (yes, "thou shalt not commit adultury") and be chaste virgins...

    ES Journal - 2014

I hope it gets down to $187.2 (spy) soon so I can buy the dip. You're brave to do it so early!

"Fade the stupidz" might be going stale, time for another optimization  I don't think he's trading real money because 1. This thread is about making live calls, not posting P/L blotters 2. He said a trader is better if (s)he can go countertrend and not blow up "Fade the...

    Bitcoin bear market

The price pattern looks like it may be ready to decide which way the triangle will break, but the underlying security could be confiscated and banned at any time for its role in facilitating black market transactions. If it were a penny stock, however, it might be worth keeping on the watch...

    Why do traders fail?

That game is no good, who would pay $3 to flip a coin. Sounds like something a gambler would do at the casino

    Bitcoin bear market

That would be a stupid trade, because the blowoff parabola with capitulation volume happened a lot higher. I would have taken profits a long time ago, had I been short. If it were a normal stock it might be a buy at $400, for a quick pop. But I don't trade gay securities

    trend question

Old fashioned TA says higher highs, higher lows is up trend, also volume higher on the up waves than down waves, sometimes you can draw a straight line under the lows, or they bounce off the 50 SMA. This all depends on time frame, of course. There are no definitive rules in trading, however...

    Why do traders fail?

The higher education angle is interesting. Reminds me of when, toward the end of engineering school, we all were wondering why we needed to be able to calculate the full navier stokes equation for textbook problems that were obviously too sterile for the real world, later using numerical...

    Why do traders fail?

Is it easier yet to improve from small profits to big ones?

    Why do traders fail?

I honestly think it comes down to psychology - not everyone has the mind to risk tens of thousands per trade, so it's easier to start a subscription service and trade a comfortable size while making live calls (and leaving enough liquidity for the subscribers). I've had a few really good...

Boston Globe - Obamacare sucks / debacle

They should just call it the "EBT Care Act" because its whole purpose was to get welfare recipients insured at the expense of everyone else.

You just can't make this stuff up . . .

They found, back in the day, that a fire hoze was an effective mob repellant

    Kudos to MMs

You are right, and I would have a lot more money if I just stuck to my setups, instead of guessing. :(
