When do part time traders submit order

Years ago I would place Stop-Stop OTO when I was still trying to make money buying breakouts. Now I just go with naked limits. Damn the hft's

    E*Trade Pro

Yeah I like it a lot, too, overall. The only real problem I've had with it is that it can "misfire" during startup in the morning and self-abort (happened twice today), and it takes several minutes to do its thing before everything is ready to use. This can cost you 20+ minutes and is greatly...

Who wants to be a profitable trader?

I'm sure trend following was scoffed at much like he OP, back in the days of Richard Dennis, Seykota, John Henry, etc. Now all the new TA students study breakouts and trends and they have become the game  (for the range traders, LOL)

Trading quite successfully but still working

There is no easy way to financial freedom. Decide if you are willing to trade with discipline, or if you are willing to set up a business with passion and hard work. If not, a life of corporate servitude is probably your best bet.

Trading quite successfully but still working

I've had a similar experience. I traced it back to the same cause: overtrading and continuing to explore for new methods, out of boredom. If trading is a business for you and not a hobby, you will document your method that you used when employed and only use it with the real money...

Number of New York traders at all time low

Five star thread, thanks for all the replies from the old pros. :) In my twisted mind, I guess I see it this way: There always have to be suckers at the table for the game to work. The suckers have been mostly wiped out and are afraid of the casino now. This may be why US FED has taken...

Why Do People Buy At A Top?

He had a model called "fade the stupids" which was a top caller, basically - the idea was to fade traders who buy tops. It seemed to work for a few cents, as he was making live calls in the ES journal, but no one believed he was slinging a real account with it. I guess "the stupids" were...

Is it possible earn 20% a year swing trading stocks.

What's up, failed? Long time no post. I figured you must have given up and gotten a job because you were nowhere when the market topped a couple months ago. Yeah, I could have made a few more percent and matched the S&P index last year but it was my first year not losing, so I...
