A study here about Bill Williams approach. ABSTRACT Prediction of stock price and modelling of market pattern are quite difficult and complex to understand itself. There are hidden factors of market like effect of news, sentiment of crowd etc. which play an important role of modelling the...

Why did my buy stop get triggered?

Sometimes you do not see the price on chart what was in the quotes from broker. So you can be triggered without seeing it on chart. Next possible explanation is spread widening, because on buy stop only ask price is relevant.

OK, give me your 2, 3 or 4 securities (stocks, CEFs, ETFs) that long term you think would do best

I know this, that is why I mentioned UPRO and TQQQ therefore in first place. But he wanted to backtest this, as this makes no sense to me, so I mentioned the top performers in the past decade to have a comparison. This was not as forecast for best stocks in the next decade meant in this post.

Don’t regulate crypto, allow it to implode, says Brandeis Professor Stephen Cecchetti

He does not get money for his analysis, suggestions or forecasts or can live from it. He gets a small fixed salary for teaching, so I would not expect any good or solid advice from him, what else.

Popular Technical Indicators for Day Trading

Both, but CoInt is more important and you need to experiment yourself when you have it not done before. No one can help you here as it gets very technical.

FTX collapse was not a liquidity crisis

In earlier times Mt. Gox (Japan) also went to insolvency, which was one of biggest at that time, so history in crypto space repeats itself. The next event of that sort will likely come again. It is within the structure how crypto is built, it looks like. In the mean time there are always very...

TQQQ an OK investment over the long run? For a 401k

It is not about the backtests, it is more what you think the future will likely be. Or you need to backtest 50 years back or so to get a better understanding. But then again, future can be different.

FTX collapse was not a liquidity crisis

Oh man... Among Ray’s other findings: Alameda Research (FTX’s hedge fund) gave Bankman-Fried a $1bn personal loan and a $543m loan to the director of engineering, Nishad Singh. Bankman-Fried often communicated by using applications that were set to auto-delete after a short period of time...

Popular Technical Indicators for Day Trading

There is a legendary stocks trader in Japan (Takashi Kotegawa). He is watching market index, and other asset classes like Gold, Oil, and T-Notes, with sector indices in addition to his chosen stocks as overlay. I have in mind, that it is said, that overall market makes about 40% for the daily...

Popular Technical Indicators for Day Trading

Did not check in particular but overall on total market. There is a clear tendency, that higher liquid instruments have less stable cointegration relationships. That was said and I checked this. But when I look in your special stock symbols as examples, then I get the same result here. Yes NIO...

Crypro Investment Course ... from $85. to $10.

Cryptos are a desaster themselves, a pure pump and dump scheme. Only BTC and ETH are surviving longterm cryptos. The rest come and go. So there is not much choice at all among cryptos for any investment. I have posted in forum here an excel sheet (twice already) that demonstrates this based on...

Popular Technical Indicators for Day Trading

You can care on Volume. When it increases over a certain threshold to its price move, that can be an indication too. You need to backtest it. But I am sure there is some value on volume itself.

Price Action Question? Two bullish Candles.

Ok, it is a less liquid stock on daily timeframe. It looks like uptrend is intact, so next goal is to fill in the gap some months ago (around ca. $36). So there is room for further upmove. It loses little bit on momentum but not that much for a reversal right now. If you have a long position...

TQQQ an OK investment over the long run? For a 401k

TQQQ can have a longer time span with lower returns from here, because in the decade from 2010 to 2020 it had 50% p.a., but if you look back 50 years from 1970 on and recalculate TQQQ returns, then you only get about 12% p.a., so it is more likely that it will see a phase with lower returns to...
