Thinkorswim now on schwab - can you trade after-hours 16:00 - 16:05 PM?

We have received an email today from a customer in Singapore of TDA that are being asked to move their accounts as TD Ameritrade no longer serves Singapore Retail clientele. No other broker can offer TOS but we at Lightspeed can offer Lightspeed Trader, Lightspeed Web&Mobile, Sterling Trader Pro...

No routes accept market orders outside regular trading hours. Too much risk of bad fills. Thank you for the response.

On SSE, what are trading hours for equities? I think TDA starts at 7am et for most securities.

I heard a large block of retail customers were moved this weekend. I'd love to hear some feedback from those that liked TDA and now are at CS.

Which brokers give the best portfolio margin ?

This is on the TDA website. Looks like Charles Schwab needs TD to offer PMA. Does that concern you if you have an account here? "However, if you're interested in trading futures and forex products, or using portfolio margin, we recommend that you open a TD Ameritrade account for the best...

Are there brokers that do not use price capping?

What makes you think a proprietary trading firm does not need to follow exchange rules?

Are there brokers that do not use price capping?

You are correct. Most of the time, entering a limit 10% away from last sale is silly. The one exception is when a stock comes out of a halt. The last sale can be $10, but it might re-open at $25. Some systems will block a limit order to buy at $25. I believe on Lightspeed, we would accept a LOO...

It is not my place to consider the correct way to avoid gap prices.

Are there brokers that do not use price capping?

This is a regulatory requirement to help prevent obvious errors. I think in general the rule is 7% outside regular trading hours and 10% in regular trading hours. We have no choice be to put these in place.

trade idea: the good ol' long US10y bond, long S&P500

I don't follow. The future changes in price too and is leveraged so added risk. And, pay no interest.

trade idea: the good ol' long US10y bond, long S&P500

I assume you know that the value of the bond changes as interest rates change and long bonds can be volatile. It is not a riskless trade.

trade idea: the good ol' long US10y bond, long S&P500

That is an interesting call from a trader in the EU. Not only are you betting on the equity market going up and 10 Year rates dropping or staying firm, but you are also betting on a strong USD vs Euro. If this is a large bet, do you hedge your currency risk?

    Advanced Tactics For Money Managers

All kidding aside, 1256 Contracts are not better for every manager and the same for leverage. Many managers have a longer term outlook, not looking for any short term gains. Then they can do tax harvesting. I have no idea what Return stacking is. I'll have to look that up.

    portfolio margin

Unfortunately, that is not true. The OCC uses the TIMS method. Some broad based indexes provide offsets but there are no offsets for say AAPL vs MSFT. All Options vs that symbol are used to calculate max loss for the requirement of that symbol. Your broker can be more restrictive, but not less...
