    Margin on options arb/conversion

It sounds like max loss is $5. I can't run a fake position. Only a real one. If you give me a real example of this with live strikes, I can run it and tell you the OCC requirement and the Wedbush/Lightspeed House requirement. I can't help you with IB. Trying ask them........

Why is customer service so bad at most brokers?

I provide the same attention to a $10,000 CASH account as a $10mm HF. I never ignore customers because they are small. Same for our trade desk and other services at Lightspeed.

    Frontrunned!

ALL option orders get executed on an option exchange by the DMM they route their orders to. Pre market prices as left over from the previous day. They are not live.

    Frontrunned!

Option order books do not show option data in Realtime before the stocks open at 9:30am and then have an opening rotation. The rest of your comment I did not follow. If order to buy stock and sell a call on the exchange COB, someone needs to want to trade with you at that price.

    Frontrunned!

More details? You know there are 16 option exchanges and even if you are first at a price, they can match it on another exchange. Or, step up in prices a pay a little more. Neither are a violation.

    ECN rebates for limit orders?

As far as I know, the highest rebate comes from NASDAQ and ARCA and that is $0.002/Share for equities over $1. Futures at the CME do not provide routing rebates. They do not have to get volume as they are not multiple listed. They offer volume rebates for higher volume customers.

    SIPC protection $500k per account

They were all made whole on the securities side, it just took time. I'm not sure about the futures business. You would have to do a search for that.

How to minimize slippage against NBBO mid price?

This is going to vary from symbol to symbol and day to day. I would start with trying TWAP and VWAP orders. I would also try a Mid-point peg order to NSDQ or ARCA and the same to a dark pool. Then examine the data to see what works best and has the lowest market impact.

    Covering naked call options

I have done this many times. And "customers" would quote an option vs stock spreads delta neutral every day when I was on the floor. If the Delta was 50, this would be buying STOCK vs selling 2 calls. It is done all the time. You are betting the shares will not move much.

50% profit per year is easily possible

Really- What arb would that be and why would you do that when 1 year T-bills are now about 4.8%?

50% profit per year is easily possible

I challenge anyone to make a riskless return of half of this in a cash account and it be "easy". If it were that easy, there would be bots from MM, Prop groups and hedge funds happy with low risk 12% to 15% returns blasting these "arbs". These types of posts promote opportunities that if they...

    SIPC protection $500k per account

This was in many ways worse than Bear Stearns because I think the management at MF Global used customer funds to trade firm money. At BS, they lost their money trading. That was why it took so long.

    SIPC protection $500k per account

I'm not going to do the math for you. If your account has your CASH, that max out at $250K. Securities in a SIPC event get moved first, which is why larger account like to own T-bills and not cash. I'm not aware of any time since SIPC was created that any "Customer" account was not just moved to...

    SIPC protection $500k per account

"FTX Trading Ltd., commonly known as FTX, is a bankrupt company that formerly operated a fraud-ridden cryptocurrency exchange and crypto hedge fund." That was NOT a US Broker Dealer, not a Security and not protected by SIPC.
