FTX in the spotlight. So what is the allure of Cryptos?

OK great Baron. Thanks for that. But the point of leverage is critical. How did this individual (Sam Friedman) at FTX get his hands on so much cash? Enormous amounts of cash. Was he selling his core holdings? Or was he using buying power (leverage) If he was using leverage, did that expand the...

FTX in the spotlight. So what is the allure of Cryptos?

Here's another take on the FTX collaplse, from a right leaning POV. Counting the FTX 'Boy Wonder's' Dirty Money Investing in crypto money, gold money, silver money, whatever. Any of this stuff should be: 1) solid as a rock 2) less important investment features ... The guy at the center of...

Why bitcoin’s most basic principle has become crypto’s biggest problem

FDIC is financed by Fed Gov. So, its from the FEDs point of view that the benefits will accrue. Not the investors POV. Seems the FED considers the "crash and burn" of a few billionaires as a healthy exercise ( e.g. Hunt Brothers). On the other hand the FED certainly considers "Bank runs" as...

    GLD and XLE

XLE is extended. The low on XLE was put in about 30 months ago. Since then, its up 300%. Seems it will go higher eventually, but a little stretched now. Good luck to all in this "season of plenty."

Bitcoin Will Worth $1 Million By This Date, Predicts Cathie Wood

Jack Welch used to say "That guy could see around corners". And that was a reference to the work of some visionary. Take your pick: JD Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Edison, Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, Steve Balmer, etc. There might be a woman in there someplace. But have to look hard for that. We are...

    Good explanation of bond futures?

Real Money has the right idea. You have gotten some bad info. Here's the Note as weekly bars. Showing pos div on the RSI. And fast stoch looks OK. It's just trading. Don't overthink it.

    Good explanation of bond futures?

uhh ... Maybe the confusion comes from the "Call Protection" that exists on a lot of bonds (but not Treasuries). Municipal Bonds are usually quoted not in dollar price, but in Yield, either Yield to Maturity (YTM) or Yield to Call (YTC) Which ever is lower. And as mentioned, bond prices are...

Crypro Investment Course ... from $85. to $10.

That could be. But, used to be that all longs of stock options were named speculation by the IRS. (no Long Term gain allowed regardless of the holding period). Seems that being long a barrel of oil is a whole lot better than owning some out-ot-the-money calls on oil.

Crypro Investment Course ... from $85. to $10.

Crude oil doesn't have cash flow, but it's a pretty good investment anyway. Maybe some investments have hidden uses that can't be replaced. Maybe food too?

Crypro Investment Course ... from $85. to $10.

I remember Carl Icahn being asked about cryptos several years ago. He apologized and said he doesn't understand them. What a foggy old dope. Yeah right. Crypro Investment CourseFund Your Retirement Now marked down from $85 to $10. What is that? Don't we already have Consumer Financial...

Japan’s Waning Appetite for Treasurys Fuels Anxiety on Wall Street

As traders (of any kind) we all struggle for maximum self control. That entails taking responsibility for every aspect of all winning + losing trades. The FED and Congress have a responsibility to do the same ($31 Trillion debt). But they won't. And they are collectively called "Our Leaders"
