    Bear Call spreads

If you ask me the "middle man must be taking all the meat" The otherside of the trade if you ask me is overpriced, and the value of the options seem to decay way too quickly. So if you take a position and do not time it absolutely perfect, from my experience not only will you not break even...

56% of premium in 2 days

Sold an AAPL Mar 10 155 put on 2/9 for .98 and by 2/12 before market close, I have already secured 56% of the premium How is it that I've secured over half the premium in less than 3 days of a 38 day contract? The stock has only moved about $2 in my favor. Shouldn't the majority of the...

    Bear Call spreads

Options in Forex are a terrible deal. The spreads that will make you anything have strikes way too close to the money for it to be worth the risk presented by the volatility associated with forex... Not sure if you've traded forex before but you can trade a .10 lot size at the lowest which...

    Buying back - written contracts

This is exactly what I was not aware of. Thanks for clearing that up. I did know the price of the option goes up when it reaches the strike. I was not aware that you actually choose to close written contract positions by buying the position back. I knew you could "sell to close" a position...

    Buying back - written contracts

My only problem with this explination is it's too good to be true. Otherwise you could just write contracts all day and then when the price comes near your strike price you could just close the position out risking only your commission paid. Seeing as you don't pay anything to write contracts...

    Buying back - written contracts

I have been demo trading for the past 5 - 6 months and have been focusing on only writing contracts. I have always thought that when you write a contract it is set in stone once it's filled. Meaning that you have to wait for it to expire and take the huge loss that comes with writing...
