I'm using Etrade right now but I don't have a power etrade account. I think I tried to buy a stock after hours but it says I need to have some margin account to do so. So I don't know...probably just will just forget about it. It's probably too risky for me anyways since I like to buy and hold.

Well obviously I do more research than that. I pick them based on fundamentals and research on the company's balance sheet and income statements and check to see if they've been growing. Or when the market turns sour on a stock I've been keeping my eye on, I'll pick them up.
