Does it mean that you are selling NASDAQ? NQ? QQQ? stop?

Russel 2000 might start to crack because of fiscal cliff

The facts: 1- You are absolutely right that RUT is up 7% from my first call. 2- I also recommend to sell PUT to reduce risk which based on that the risk would be less than 7%. 3- I always recommend nibbling into a position and build up the position so considering that, the loss should have...

Russel 2000 might start to crack because of fiscal cliff

A trade that you cannot resist. Sell IWM at 89.70 and buy Weekly Feb 1 call for 0.48. You loss in limited to 0.78 plus commission. I believe IWM should drop more than 0.78 next week. (all are educated guesses that can go wrong but this is a high probablity trading).

Thanks iceman1 and bone who spent your time responding me. I know both of you are extremely knowledgable and experienced in the market and if I disagree with you, it does not mean that I am diagreeing your knowledge or intelligence. I know people see things differently and I know that RIMM as...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Before the earning I emailed one of my friends who asked about AAPL and I said I believe it will drop to $470. Now it is trading at 459ish. I have no position in AAPL.

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Don't blame all on AAPL. TXN, ALTR, LLTC and many other companies had lackluster results. Market is overvalued and IMF said Europe is contracting. 2% paycut for everyone, inflation in food will take a toll on the economy. AAPL results was a sell signal for the general market. A joke : RIMM is...

Don't miss the chance on Trading (shorting) RIMM

Many trades go bad when you trade. You cannot expect to do everything in perfection. My timing was a little early but I still believe RIMM is a short and has no chance for a comeback. Bloomberg was showing a chart comparing cellphone companies in 2011 and 2012 and even in just a year RIMM has...

Russel 2000 might start to crack because of fiscal cliff

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/imf-lowers-global-growth-forecast-2013-01-23 Read it carefully. These words are not from an analyst. It is from IMF. Europe economy will contract in 2013. The effect will spill over US economy too. Usaully these kind of news affect the market big time in 2-3...

Consumer semi stocks are ripe to short

Yesterday TXN also had a lackluster result and the shares dropped AH. As I said networking semi stocks are still doing relatively good such as ALTR, CSCO, IBM, XLNX. ADI will report on Mid Feb. I predict another lackluster result based on their last Q outlook for this quarter.

Russel 2000 might start to crack because of fiscal cliff

Lets say I sell IWM at 89. If I can take profit in 2 days, I am fine but if I feel it is going against me, I sell weekly covered PUT (in this case for 87. Then if it goes down, well I make money. If it keeps going up, I also sell next weeks 88 PUT. Remember you can sell more PUT than your short...

Russel 2000 might start to crack because of fiscal cliff

Yes I am bearish on the market. I think it is overbought. When I want to short IWM or any other stock, I usually sell out of the money PUTs and Calls and if it rallies and I get short because of my Calls, I start to sell covered PUTs and the story goes on.

Is US equity market getting old (mature)?

It seems that every country wants to devaluate its currency.

Is US equity market getting old (mature)?

It seems that you don't even believe bonds are safe. I see your concern :)

Is US equity market getting old (mature)?

Another subject that you brought up about money fleeing from bond to stock. It can be true for just a portion of the bond market. Baby boomers and cash huggers are still scared to death to put their hard earned money into stocks. I believe majority of bond holders will stay in bond. Bond funds...
