Your problem is likely that you do not have a well defined plan of how you will enter and exit trades. If these things are defined, then it is not a matter of "stupid" trades, but not following your plan. Once you have a well defined plan, your only job is to execute that plan.

Better to teach them to save. If they don't have that skill, no point in teaching them to trade because they will be stuck on a sim account or worse, trying to trade a $2000 forex account.

The major red flag I see with this strategy is that your backtest shows just over three months of data. Can you show a backtest results chart with how this strategy would have performed over 5, 10 or better yet 15 years of data?
