Isn't it illegal for brokers to scam their customers with this account statements?

There are price differences in longer dated futures contracts vs the closer months. To see this for example, create an Oct chart of either CL or 6E and a Dec chart, the prices will be different.

Well, its a good thing I don't use my lines to actually make trade decisions. I agree with your analysis, my chart was not to do anything but point out possible price targets depending on what the candles do in the future. :-)

    Birth of a trader

Ok, I will chime in. Remove everything from your chart that you don't actually use as part of your signals for a long or short setup. Have more objective rules for trade management, for example, are you going to keep a target and stop or is your plan to micro manage the trade after you got...

    CL Redux

Maybe the slowness I notice after I got in my trade was due to lunch hour. CL is has now broken even higher, and I am very glad I gave my trade room to breath and not get stopped out only to see this market take off. I see a place I could have taken another long entry if I was waiting and...

    CL Redux

I noticed that everything is up today except for CL. I then noticed we did have a small sell off on ES, so my thought process is that CL sold off due to this issue but then since CL likes to sometimes move a lot, it really crashed the long stops and caused more weakness. However, I got a...

Went Long Today But Still Feel SICK with HFT

Yes, but the bots don't see the future, they don't need to. They see more buy orders coming in than sell orders, so they buy, and then sell for maybe as little as a penny of profit. So if you software can predict the future, you don't scalp but instead swing. They can scalp since they are...

NoDoji also sent me a message to avoid the weak setups. Ok, I will have patience and wait for a good setup only for Friday. Thanks

The ES is sometimes slow, but I seem to have more indicators that I can use to trade it whereas I don't with the other futures that seem to trade more randomly. The only issue with my last trade was that since it was a good setup, I should have done more contracts. I was thinking to myself...

Good afternoon. Well, I decided to take a long position and this time leave the stop and target alone. Well, market is moving really really slow. So to take my mind off of it and prevent me from moving stops and targets, I started a game of StarCraft 2 multiplayer. Now, like in ES which...

    CL Redux

I think it depends on your target, if you are trying for say 30 - 40 ticks, then yes moving the stop up should not cause you to get stopped out. However, if you are going for say 10 ticks, then moving the stop can get you stopped out on noise.

    CL Redux

I made a silly mistake, CL was around 74.50, I put on a short, it stated to go in my favor, so I brought down my stop a little, and it got hit, then CL fell to my target price. I need to remember to give the trade room to breath. Since it hit target price and bounced, I reversed to long...

    CL Redux

This is my graph of what I think Nodoji was looking at for her trade where she 1st sold 1 at 72.48 and then bought 2 at 72.26 My thoughts on this 1st short trade are as follows, she was either anticipating lower prices on the sell or waited to see the price start to break down. Not sure if...

ES has gone down in after hours, so far my put is doing good, wanted to also short GBP, but that would basically be 2 trades in same direction so decided not to do it. Early in day, I had a GBP short, that I decided to hedge with an CL long which was a big mistake. Its better to just use stop...

For those that think hedge funds employ lots of quants to make their 20% per year or use computer bots, you will find many that use this strategy instead: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/sec-sues-former-manager-of-imperium-hedge-fund-2010-09-01?siteid=YAHOOB Also, the only edge a bot has...

Normally don't like to play breakouts, but I sold at 1076.75 and covered at 1075.75. Was not a great setup so don't have contracts to let winners run except for my put which was activated when the ES was at 1079 and is doing good so I plan to leave overnight.
