    The S&P 500 has topped at 2430 on 6/1/17

No sir. That was another trade. His "original" trade he was short SPY calls. Re-read the thread. I gave him a lot of shit about that. He later would scale in and out of secondary trades before pile driving into a short that kept going against him until the very top.

No, I think he does and I think he lost money. I'm saying in general on this site there is a disproportionate emphasis on "calls" when the purpose of trading is not to be right but to make money. He never covered at 31 as you suggested...in fact he shorted more on the squeeze back up and kept...

    The S&P 500 has topped at 2430 on 6/1/17

The problem with this message board is many here don't have any capital at stake but think it's fun to make "calls". In the real world, we deal with money. You can lose money on a good call and make money on a bad call. I focus on the money not the call as do all traders who actually do this...

And I say he got stopped out at max loss. Banks don't let you deposit message board trade calls in your account. They do take money though.

He got stopped out at max loss. We deal with money in the trading world, not calls.

    The S&P 500 has topped at 2430 on 6/1/17

What I don't understand is this. The banks are trading like shit. They can barely uptick. Why not short the banks? If the market craps out, trust me, the banks are going to implode with the 2/10 flattening big time. But if we break out to new highs, the banks are just grinding side ways...

    The S&P 500 has topped at 2430 on 6/1/17

Because the market was basing for two months at all time highs and is now breaking out to the upside. As the old saying goes..."the longer the base, the higher in space".

He got stopped out. And like the genius he is, he is getting re-short and moving his stop up and out. Sooner or later, he is going to nail it! :)

Psychologically, that's too difficult for most traders to execute.

Oh for fuck's sake...give it up. Just stop.

Steven Cohen’s Hedge-Fund Comeback Shoots for a Record Target: $20 Billion

The guy has a 40 year track record. You call that a good run? LOL. Please just stop. He has a whole team of portfolio managers that trade every market in the world. I would venture to guess that 99% of all transactions didn't involve insider trading. Most of the portfolio managers are...

Steven Cohen’s Hedge-Fund Comeback Shoots for a Record Target: $20 Billion

This thread is hilarious. Cohen has more talent in his left testicle then most on this site. The guy has been trading since he was 16. If insider trading was so lucrative then the entire hedge fund industry wouldn't have the dismal performance it now has. Gotta love this site.

    silicon valley is back !

I think it's higher then avg for a forum, not the overall internet. I think part of the reason is the fact that most people here struggle to make money so any personal issues that arise happen with that in the backdrop.

    silicon valley is back !

There are some highly unstable people on this site Zany. One of them had the genius idea to call in a threat at this event not realizing apparently it is the residence of the President of the US. It didn't take secret service long to trace the call. I was at the event and I can verify that it...

Fisher has published his calculations...there are no secrets. The calculations don't matter. It's all relative. The real hard work in this is building a database of NL values and doing good old fashioned statistical analysis. The actual OR values and A values are just anchors. Move them as...

    The ACD Method

Once you start using number lines you won't ever have to look at a chart ever again. I think the beauty of number lines is that it's more data driven and lends itself well to statistical analysis. The number lines contain information that you won't see in the chart. A chart is like looking at...

Can I offer some advice? Go to DataCamp. It's $6 a month. They basically teach you R and Python doing actual real exercises. I found learning this stuff from scratch is the most painful thing in the world. In DataCamp, they have a course called financial trading in R or Python. The way the...
