OK, I got one for ya. I use to love doing this. Go up to the rooftop bar at the Peninsula. Kick ass view and very nice. You'll spend $15 for a drink but it's worth it. Can't beat it during the summer. And you will see TONS of celebrities there if that's your thing. Me and some buddies...

Check out the rainbow room either for a meal or just go there for happy and grab a drink. You won't regret it. EDIT: They closed it. I totally forgot about that. Damn man, nothing lasts.

    Walker Wins!

Has Obama ever had a plan? Ever? He never had one in the state senate in IL. He never had one as a US Senator and he never had one as President. I seriously doubt he has the ability to put one together now.

    Walker Wins!

You can spin this all you want but are you telling me that the "people" wanted Walker out? That's what MSNBC told me every day for 6 months. That the "people" wanted him out. Money can't vote, it can only influence.

Spin...spin...spin... MSNBC is a riot. So "now" they start making excuses. I love it. Now the left is going to berate Barry for once again selling out and running from a fight.

what kind of training do you get at a prop?

Back in the old days the training was 2nd to none. You had a mentor who usually was making 7 figures per year and you got one on one attention. But the mentors got paid a fortune for this service. The problem is, you get what you pay for. And today there is no way to compensate someone what...

Prop Firms in NYC with salary, free training, and no programming experience necessary

That's actually an excellent point. I know one of the biggest option firms here in Chicago that hires kids out of college. It's mostly algorithmic. I had a buddy that worked there and he basically sat there and watched the system trade. There were several guys executing different parts of...

It worked for Bud Fox. Isn't that how he got his meeting with Gordon Gecko? He tricked the secretary and bought Gecko some Cuban cigars. LOL. Oh wait, that was just a movie.

Yes, but perhaps I didn't make my point clear. People throw the word "trader" around when in fact, many guys on here don't actually want to be traders. The world of finance has changed a lot in the last 10 years and traders make up less then 1% of it. Some guys want to flip stock. That's...

Topdog, not sure you understand this, but those are not really trading jobs you posted. Nothing wrong with those jobs, but you and everyone on ET need to sit down and figure out exactly what it is you want to do. Do you want to be a quant, trader, market maker, analyst, portfolio manager, etc...

Bright is a 25k minimum now and he mentioned that might be going higher in the future, not lower.
