The best thing to do is let us know about these threads by clicking on the complain button on the first post of a misplaced thread, so the mods can be alerted about it and move it to the correct forum. This way, the thread disappears by getting moved to the right location instead of disappearing...

It appears that riskarb was posting insults and profanity in other people's journals which ultimately generated some complaints from other members. Upon receiving these complaints, Magna deleted those posts and told Riskarb to back off from the insults. Riskarb then hurled a bunch of obscenities...

That's correct. You can't delete your own post if it's the first one in the thread, because doing so would wipe out the replies of others. You can however, request that the thread be closed to new replies.
