Private messages between any members are not to be posted publicly in threads. I don't think anyone wants to see their private communications between themselves and another member posted publicy. We might as well trash the whole PM system if we are going to allow it to be undermined like that.

Earlier somebody mentioned that the ignore function "doesn't work". Today I made the ignore function not give you the option to view an ignored users post, so any posts made by ignored users are now completely invisible.

Because they required way too much moderation to justify their existence on this site.

The problem is that sometimes our advertisers save their ads in the very latest version of the Flash format, which ultimately requries the latest version of the flash player. I took down the ad that I believe was causing the problem though.

The problem is not the name change. Once I make a change to a username, it would be reflected on all posts that user has made. However, any posts of that old user that were quoted in the posts of others would not be changed. So for everything to be consistent, I would have to manually search...

We can only do name changes for people who only have a handful of posts. Otherwise, it's just too much labor.
