I splurged one time and had a custom suit made from scratch by http://www.tomjames.com.
One of their reps will come out to your house or office and do a presentation on all of their fabrics and patterns. You get to choose all the details of the suit construction like the styles of the...
At the time we initially put up the list, neither of those firms was considered a true direct-access broker, which is why they weren't added. I don't know if they still sell their order flow, but if not, then we can certainly add them.

We don't serve pop-ups of any kind and never have, so it's not coming from us.
BTW, there's a chance that your computer has a legitimate program installed on it that is causing this issue. Some file-sharing software also comes with an ad delivery software bundled with it. So you think you're...
It sounds like you have some spyware/adware on your system. It doesn't have anything to do with ET. The spyware watches the types of sites you visit and then it delivers pop ups when you visit a site that has content relevant to one of their advertisers.
It wasn't set up that way because doing that would also cause you to block out the posts of other users who reply to that thread, and those users may be people you like or who post good things on a regular basis.
Look, we provide two major features for dealing with this sort of issue:
1. You can put him on your ignore list if he bothers you that much, so that way you won't have to read his posts.
2. Use the complain button to report his posts to our moderators so we can deal with the issue...
One of the servers is screwed up and it needs some attention in person. It's probably going to be like this until I get somebody at the datacenter to address the issue tomorrow morning.
I just took out the personal info in that post. I'm sure the person who the post was directed to saw the original information anyway. Thanks for the feedback.
It doesn't show anything. A complaint merely alerts us to a specific post or thread. We make the judgement ourselves as to whether or not there's been a violation.
Yes.
Yes. But that's the way the world works.
As a matter of law, you're not supposed to go over 65 MPH on the typical...
That's true, but the point is that the thread got off-topic, which is why is was deleted. It wasn't about me playing detective trying to figure out which off-topic person was in the right.
I would agree with that, which is just another reason why the thread was removed.
You need it for...
We can't read every post in every thread. So to keep control over the content, we respond to complaints from members about specific posts or threads that clearly violate our member rules of conduct. I had multiple complaints in my email about that black thread when I got up this morning.
For...
Yeah, it was deleted because:
1. On the first page of the thread I addressed the issue brought up by the thread starter.
2. After that, the thread got off-topic about steve46 and alledgedly deceased loved ones from the 911 attacks.
I went to clean the thread up this morning by deleting some off-topic posts and I accidentally hit the "Delete Thread" button.
That was my mistake. But the thread had gone way off topic anyway.
Because if it were done that way, you wouldn't be able to view the posts of anyone else who participates in that thread, so it would like ignoring not only the thread starter but everybody else in the thread as well. And some of those replies could be from members you really like.
Maybe you missed the part where he said he already deleted the threads in question. Problem solved. There was no malicious intent or deception. It won't be an issue going forward. Thanks.
